Thanks for all the info. It looks like I'll have a bit of work ahead of me, which will be fun.
I'll start posting pics of the rebuild.
Cheers

Re: Mardave 12th scale Stock car
Hi Paul,
Do you know if the v12 wheels will fit, this car doesn't have bearings and the front wheels just ride on the axles.
I'm also wondering if its possible to change the rear axle to a more modern setup with a diff, only due to the spur being worn out and probably irreplaceable.

Re: Mardave 12th scale Stock car
Here's a pic of the car before I start the rebuild. It would be great someone could tell me where to get some new parts for it. All it really needs is some tires and a spur gear. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd72/dj_kilroy/20130103_170844_zpsfb510bd4.jpg Sorry about the bad pic, I have taken b...

Mardave 12th scale Stock car
Hi Everyone, I just received a really beat up ugly Mardave 12th scale stock car and want to know if anyone knows anything about them. It looks like it will be really easy to clean up and restore and I'm planning to get it to run again. The only problems I can see with it is that the spur gear is com...

Re: Schumacher ABS Instructions
I have the complete kit on Ebay with my cat 98. If you don't get hold of the PDF I can scan the manual before it sells. I actually bought it from Alex when I used to live in Melbourne.. Small world! Don't worry, DJ, I've sorted the scan.... and I'm watching your Cat..... No longer in Melbourne, tho...

Re: Schumacher Cat 98 questions (rebuild)
I think that mold is pretty much the same as mine, only the back bit was trimmed off where the shocks go through.. Then I thought I may as well remove the back part altogether to stop it from breaking off.. By the way the shell I have is a Penguin Job.. I'm not all that pleased with it and will get ...

Re: Schumacher Cat 98 questions (rebuild)
Hello David, Thank you for your help. The CAT '98 exploded diagram, along with the 2000, 2000 EC, and 3000 manuals are indeed available on the web. I was looking for the CAT '98 manual because each manual lists slightly different information (e.g. currently available parts at the time). Wheels: Bey...

Re: Schumacher Cat 98 questions (rebuild)
Both are nice. Are those Ballistic Buggy wheels for Schumacher 14mm hex? Also, trying to rebuild a CAT '98. Does anyone have a scan of the CAT '98 manual? Yes, they are Ballistic wheels, I found them on Ebay. As for a manual, I don't think I've ever seen one. There are copy's of the exploded diagra...

Re: Cat 2000 one way layshaft Q
I can confirm that the alloy roller uses a different layshaft. It has a hole through it so you can lock out the one way with a pin and go full time 4 wheel drive.
I have mine locked out and it works a treat!
