Modified custom SRB front end

Tamiya SRB; remarkable. Some thinks it started a generation of 1/10 RC. Many aftermarket parts. Its front end is sloppy but no good upgrade so far imho. MIP 4wd tower + custom; (1) woven graphite tubes, (2) titanium pins, (3) topcad CNC hubs (ready for 4wd?), (4) red RCH arms, (5) thorp ball cups… h...

Re: Hot-trick Hotshot (RED clone)

Good gear box mod! Next up you need a Hot Box propeller shaft splitter by ODS Racing and Development, Ishihara :D Link to my Hot Trick Hotshots https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=525572&hilit=hot+trick+hot+shot+x+2#p525572 Had it. Too much play. Poor tolerance. Did not stay true. Way too ...

Re: Hot-trick Hotshot (RED clone)

The designers r genius, two highly stressed main gears r riding a plastic piece B7, which has the thinnest (easiest to break) section at 3mm… perfect to strip gears time to upgrade that too. Get: A) 3mm shaft B) washer C) 4X8mm flanged bushing D) metal tube with 3mm ID, 4mm OD Cut to right length, b...

Re: Hot-trick Hotshot (RED clone)

The old plastic rear gearbox was ‘windowed’, same treatment for the new CNC gearbox.

This way, the alignment of the motor pinion & spur gear can be visual rather than blindly using the BD6 spacers 😁

Re: Hot-trick Hotshot (RED clone)

Years has passed. Now finally there is an upgrade for the gearbox!!!

Using polystyrene gearbox as stressed member in the chassis, designer(s) of the hotshot r genius! CNC aluminium replacements solved many of the mechanical strength issues!

Re: Shodog's MIP 4x buggy

Looks pretty sweet. 8) It's good to see the MIP uprights on there instead of the RCH ones. The front gearbox is in the right place now. I know it's been done a lot, but I reckon you couldn't go wrong with Period Novak speedo, servo and receiver. Well, the functional geometry of the MIP and RCH fron...

Scorpion hop up parts are uncommon, why?

SRB got tons of hop up and after market support

Scorpion has very very few.

Any reason why??
