Re: Ethical Dilema / Question
I've wondered this also. I have an old Proline F150 truck body (with molded Canopy) that was intended for the TC3. I spoke to Proline at a trade show (RCX, or something like that) and I asked about old molds, esp since the Crawler craze kicked it, it would make for a great ReRe. It sounded like ther...

Re: The BMX (and other bikes) thread
If I wanted to pick up a used Cruiser, something to ride around on thats bigger than my 24' Kastan Mosh, what should I look for in a Crusier?
If I wanted something Retro w/o breaking the bank, what kind of $$ would I be wanting to spend and what is desirable and appreciating in value?

Re: RC car for my 6yr. old son.
Def agree something HOBBY GRADE over the Radio shack/Toy grade specials. I wouldn't go crazy- maybe troll CL for a used RC. -Traxxas Stampede ( Brushed version) Namely for the clearance and bashability -ECX- Ruckus- again nice and tall, and inexpensive Like others have stated, turn the throttle down...

OMG The MEMORIES! When I first was looking at getting RC, I wanted a Hawk, (This was Pre RC10T) Then when the 10T came out, I wanted an AE, but I have always had a special place in my heart for the TRX-1 and early Traxxas vehicles. Being around as long as I have, its funny to talk to people and they...

Re: Frequency Help
As long as you are using the same Xtal Mfg with the same equipment is also key. Futaba Xtal and Fut Radio and Receiver. The Freq. #s do have to match one another in order to communicate, but the Freq. that is printed on the receiver and the Radio don't. Meaning IF your Receiver came with Freq. 75.83...

Re: Sending positive thoughts to The Husting Family...
A sad day for the rc industry as a whole. Was fortunate to meet Gene a number of years ago and both he and Roger were so friendly. Never have 2 men influenced an industry so much. I dont think the hobby would be where it is without the rc10. Thoughts and prayers to the Hustings family and friends. A...

I have one these and I thought it might be simple enough to rip out the old board and convert to 2.4ghz. I wanted to keep the stock appearan...

Re: Airtronics XL-2P Radio
I'll check both of mine when I get home, but I am pretty sure this radio has the contact points to complete the circuit and that is more like a receiver plug. So you could modify the plug or find rechargable batteries.
I love this radio.

Re: Momo's Garage- *Update 4.0*
I realize it been a looooooong time since I updated anything. Its been Life, kids, wife, job, new house etc etc. I'm going to try and revisit my WOIN build soon. I also managed to score a ReReRc10 but plan to keep this one sealed. Dug almost all of my collection out and snapped a couple of pics via ...

Kyle,
I dug out one of my old cars so I'll be working on a WOIN vintage car.
Next time I'm at the track, I want to drive it.

Attack of the Clones...
We all know that thanks in part to China and other countries, we are seeing more and more reverse engineering of products and cars being made cheaper and less expensive than the original. Some out there I think get a bad rap, despite having a quality product. We also know that many companies have pr...

Re: re-finishing old fiberglass boat hulls?
I have an old Dumas 36in hull I was thinking about re-doing (when I find time amongst my other projects) and wondering the best way to sand the old paint, fix the cracks and re-gel or glass it and get it ready for paint. Prior owner had this boat had it set up for a single Nitro outboard. I ant to p...
