Re: Tamiya TXT-2

So disappointing. Back when the TXT-1 came out I stopped at the LHS (now gone-big surprise!) and they had a demo kit. You know, the one with the big "not for sale" sticker on it? Well, $250.00 later it was sold. I had so much fun building and driving it. Times changed (wife and kid) and I ...

Re: I'm praying...

I don't even know where to begin. This should never happen anywhere, for me it seems worse as this is the state I grew up in, live in, and we chose to raise our son in. There is a dark cloud cast over the state on what should be a joyous pre-Holiday weekend of shopping, decorating, cutting down the ...

Re: The moment in RC that you are least proud of

Not much of a story after that one, but here goes. Back in 1988 I was racing a Javelin in 4WD open. The track was a small dirt tri-oval with one dog leg and one jump. Somehow in the heat race I fried my Novak T4 (was sent out and repaired-still works to this day!) Anyway, I was running for points an...

No, you build it all. Looks very cool. Check out Tamiyausa.com. There is a guy doing a build with pics and notes-he's almost done.

What size motor? Individual coil on plug set up? I remember same era Ford products with the V8 used to leak coolant onto rear coils on passenger side-right under heater core. Maybe some got on them?

Too bad she made them. Myself, I would've used at least a gallon of brown gravy to cover it up. Yes dear, I know you're tired...have a seat and I'll get dinner plated tonight.

Re: blackfoot tires

Haven't tried it myself...try a search at Tamiyaclub.com forums. I read something about smearing them in peanut butter and sealing in a Zip-lock bag. Something about the oil in the peanuts. Sounds weird but I guess it couldn't hurt to try. Not sure if you would use creamy or crunchy, though?!

Very cool pictures. The one with the track is great. Just waiting for Dr. Jones and his sidekick (can't remember his name) to come rolling through!
Edit: Short Round. Thank goodness for IMDB-it would have driven me nuts trying to remember!

Re: Tax Return Hell :(

I've got nothing good to say in regards to taxes. I was laid off in 2008 when my employer closed. They had been a employee stock ownership company (ESOP). To sell the company they had to sell our shares back. Still have not received all of them. Got a tax bill saying I received it ALL in '08. IRS, F...
