Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
The motor arrived so I installed it with a 31t TLR lightweight pinion. It's a Dynamite Tazer 3000KV all-in-one. There's little room between the webs of the chassis and I did not want to mount an esc vertically on the tower, so I'll give the Tazer a try. Apparently, both the Dynamite and Orion are ma...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
I got the new shock towers installed after drilling the wing mount holes in the rear tower. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/sixdub/Vintage%20RC/20170325_104455_zpseeofhkdi.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/sixdub/Vintage%20RC/20170325_104403_zpsmo0gg94r.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/al...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
Thanks for measuring those for for me - so it would appear that the XX dogbones are the correct/same length - that's good to know since I have a fair few of those I can use - as well as a slider set-up if I prefered 8) Your JRX Pro SE build is coming along very nicely - Its going to soak up the bum...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
The aluminum center (A-3072) is correct for the XX retro trans. The dogbone outdrives are A-3073.
In my opinion, dogbones are the better choice for brushless power.

Re: Inferno mp6 help!
I have a bunch of 7.5s and 777s. I'll try to get some arm measurements tomorrow.
I strongly suggest against aluminum arms. You'll end up breaking diff housings in crashes.

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
I was going through my Losi parts this weekend, organizing. The XX and XX Retro Fit Transmission dogbones are the same. Good to know, thanks! 8) Anyone else ever notice this and are there different part numbers for different length XX/retro fit trans outdrives? Maybe you have a some xxx-nt "mo...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
DerbyDan - I measured the retrofit dogbone pin to pin. Approx. 61.7mm. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/sixdub/Vintage%20RC/20170312_130503_zpscxdi6c0r.jpg Corrected the front droop with 5mm of internal limiters. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/sixdub/Vintage%20RC/20170312_135522_zpske41m...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
Got a few minutes to work on the buggy today. It's obvious I will have to deal with the front droop/shock length. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/sixdub/Vintage%20RC/20170311_172702_zpspubljhtq.jpg I mounted a XXX v-wing using xxx4 mounts attached to the rear tower. I screwed up the hole layou...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
Out of interest - do you know if the standard length XX driveshafts can be used for the Pro SE that is equipped with a Retrofit transmission? Sorry for the delay, I've been ill for over a week. :( Getting back in the saddle now. I'm not sure if the XX dogbones will work or not. If you have some you...

It just gets worse! Call me old fashioned but how the hell is the driver supposed to 'see' outta this... :P tlr-22-4-01.jpg I do applaud the "vintage" color scheme. 8) Can see it better from this angle. http://www.redrc.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/TLR2240-1.jpg http://www.rccaraction.c...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
Thats looking great, Nice work! Did you see the guy selling woven carbon towers on the bay for this and other older Losis? They would set this build off perfectly! I have not, I'll check them out. Thanks! I'm using B4 bearing front wheels and pin drive rears. I don't want to deal with the headaches...

Re: JRX Pro SE runner build
re the gearing Generally brushless need a taller ratio than its comparable brushed motor so if i were choosing, i'd be going with the 2wd box rather than the truck one but great build either way!! For sure I considered a buggy ratio, but 2 things led me to the truck ratio: 1. I already had most of ...
