Re: 23 Mph with RC-10

Back in the day there was an unlimited class at out club around the small dirt oval, there was a hornet and a grasshopper running 9.6 volt packs that could both easily do 40mph. We used to drive them beside cars down the street while tuning them for more top speed :) ? Beside real cars ? Yes :) lol...

Re: Play or save brand new RC10

History is for youtube to look after, take some pictures, make some movies to remember it new, then race it :). You only live once and if you think in 50 years anyone is going to care about rc10's you would be wrong. It's like vintage cars, muscle cars are half the age and worth so much more. That's...

Re: Cutting the pan

This is mine that I cut when the car was new, the motor plate is cut with the typical 45 degree slice out of it also. Surprising how stiff the chassis still is like that still stiffer than a lot of the softer rough track style moulded composites. I'd be able to cut one within a 10th of a mm with a d...

Re: Cutting the pan

I'm one of the guys that cut mine back in 91'. Having driven the car a bit recently and seeing how much slower it is with the old stock class motors when running an extra 50 grams of weight you can see why everyone used to do it. But not as important with a modern brushless :). I can't even remember...

Re: Team car / Stealth RC10

I'm building my second car now, I bought a old beat up RC10T that had a stealth conversion to raid the stealth and I also have buy sell access on here now !:) I'm still not sure if that's going to help me or send me bankrupt lol, crazy good stuff for sale. What I just realised after pulling the truc...

Re: AE chassis ID question

There's heaps of versions of that chassis, just from the B2 buggy without any trucks you have 9199 - B2 Chassis Standard, moulded carbon fiber composite (these are the hard option parts) 9200 - B2 Chassis Standard, moulded composite 9201 - B2 Chassis Short, moulded composite 9202 - B2 Chassis Short,...

Re: found another modern hex wheel for RC10

There's a really nice quality traxxas wheel in 12mm hex too http://cgi.ebay.com/Traxxas-Mini-1-16-Revo-White-Dish-2-2-Rim-Wheels-/400149269438?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d2ac14bbe#ht_2063wt_706 (perfect with a slightly fatter than usual hex and stock arms). What is the part num...

Re: Team car / Stealth RC10

Thanks guys, yeah the motor wire I noticed too :) it's because I had to make an extension cable between the small deans and a bigger one to run a modern battery and it made everything a bit loose but it never quite reached the wheel. I made a very similar video 20 years ago with a VHS that could do ...

Re: Team car / Stealth RC10

..... which ones? 9105 or 9106, in either case I think I need to be your friend  Tomorrow I'm going to visit the cars/parents (I leave them at my parents house since they have some acres and I have a track there) so I'll take pictures of what I have so far. The track is only about 13 seconds lo...

Re: Team car / Stealth RC10

Another project I have on the side and maybe my favorite car is this B2 team car ex racer I bought from England a couple of years ago. I collect parts for it whenever I see them but B2's and parts for them seem to be even rarer than worlds cars, I gave it a few runs when I got it and it's been on th...

Re: Gold Pan runner build(updated 5-26)

Were the originals just milled to loose a couple grams weight or was it to induce some more flex? or both?. Also has anyone tried pressing a new chassis? I worked in a engineering shop for a while and I think it would be very easy to do

Re: Team car / Stealth RC10

Don't use those stock NIP towers on a runner, let me buy you some of Atlas's towers and you can send them to me, especially the 6232- damn Al, nice catch on the Tecnacraft wing, I was sure it was a Yoke molded  Once they arrive (comming from the UK) I might take you up on that, I was thinking...
