Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ - 2009 Reissue Rough Rider
That settles it, going with the cage style up front for the SS. Need to figure out which model. The paint choices didn't get any easier today, knowing the manual may be pointing to TS-10 French Blue. TS-10 French Blue, TS-93 Pure Blue, TS-44 Brilliant Blue Still can't decide. Hmm, tough one... Thin...

Tamiya Brat
In 1983 Tamiya would create yet another highly popular 1/10 2wd electric off-road platform when they released the Subaru Brat. Modeled after it's full-size namesake the Brat used an entirely new ORV (Off Road Vehicle) chassis that was unlike anything they had previously designed. Rather than using a...

Re: Kyosho mint green paint
If you don't get anywhere on finding an acceptable green you can always take a wheel to an automotive paint supplier near you (PPG, Dupont, etc.) they'll scan it with a spectrometer then sell you that color single stage enamel in a ready to spray aerosol can.

That'd be really cool... those four-point front guards look perfect on the Sand Scorchers.GreenBar0n wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 2:55 pm Funny you should say that, I was thinking about taking that exact front bumper from the Sand Scorcher, for the Rough Rider and getting the more box art shaped front bumper for the SS. Haven't decided yet.

Tamiya Wild Willy
In 1982 Tamiya embarked on a comical new venture in the 1/10 2wd electric vehicle scene with the Wild Willy. Intentionally disproportional the Willy wasn’t about scale accuracy or speed, this Jeep was designed as a stunt-mobile capable of puling wheelies at will. Constructed entirely of plastic the ...

Always welcome! Nice buggy's too, dig the idea of leaving one in as ran condition... every spec of dirt is a memory.... until one day you look at it and say, "I don't remember it being that dirty"

Enough rabbit holes for now! But an exciting update. I started a chat on the L&L site and ended up having a call with Lee, the owner. What an amazing guy! We ran through everything and he ended up customising this package… https://landlmodels.co.uk/products/rc-10-racers-parts-kit-less-chassis ,...
