Re: Working over a clodbody updated 11.08
I can only agree .The thing is frightening!!! Could come straight from a Stephen King movie! The truck without a driver, which wipes out the whole village. Very, very cool

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang ! The resurrection
The epoxy plate is as old as the boomerang itself :D I found the material a few months ago in the basement of my parents' house. No joke. The plate was there for 25 years in a drawer. But you can also buy the material today. You can order it for example at this company >> www.conrad.de The German ti...

Re: My Turbo Optima
Great turbo! One day I'll have one too. There are only 5-6 buggys, that I really want to own. The Turbo Optima is one of them definitely. I have a nearly-new Turbo Optima Mid Special , which I do not like nearly as much as the old Turbo. I confess, this is a luxury problem

Re: desperate about my CAT 1
Hello. It is time to finish this project. Sold thank you at this point to Ian, give me a shock tower at a very fair price. As I have been advised, I stayed patient and waited until someone in the world has a SWB body for me. :D Months of search and then  Mr.Lexan did it!!!! I ordered immediat...

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang ! The resurrection
Thank you for the compliment. 8) but I fear if I make a kit, it would not be affordable. The production time with my machine would be very long. But let's just think for fun. How many of these kits would be able to sell well? How many guys as we are out there? I can not imagine, for example, h...

Re: RWD-only Optima - I'm sure somebody's done this before?
I can remember a race report, in a RC- journal in 1989 or 1990. A well-known driver in Germany, achieved good results at that time with a RWD - Optima at indoor races. ( on carpet )

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang ! The resurrection
ok  . This is really impressive. I thought, you build a little less professional :) with this project I can not keep up. Your chassis is really great ! And then the body :!: Please tell me how you can get a body cut so precisely. What tools do I need to buy and how many years should I practic...

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang ! The resurrection
Really interesting sets. But this kind of adapter will fit on Tamiya axles? simply on the original cross pin and then push screw? What I would be interested as well. What is the diameter of these tires?

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang ! The resurrection
For testing, I've now ordered some DB01 damper. The second major issue is the tires and rims. No problem with off-road tires. But I also want a street setup. Does anyone have an idea ? I've seen a few sets, which presumably would have the right size. But the rims are always in polished chrome. I do ...

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang ! The resurrection
I'm back ! :D As promised, the pictures of the front axle. I used Ultima suspensions and the TA01 steering knuckles. Both matches without having to rework something! The drive-bones come from a Hotshot 2. I thought these were the same as the Boomerang, but they are about 1mm shorter and work in this...

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang ! The resurrection
I'm sorry if I have created confusion with my statement of Tamiya parts in Europe. Could be that it is because I have not translated correctly. I only meant that if you look on eBay for parts re-release, it is now almost only seller overseas ( I count the UK with this :D ) normally the offer is regu...

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang !
Nice job, it 's very hard to build something at home for this type of cars with their complex injection molded parts. you said it. It took me several attempts until finally, the distances were correct. In the beginning, the distance between the gears was not true, then the ground clearance was not ...

Re: neighbour killed my boomerang !
Hello !! Thank you for the nice comments. :P Because of the mounting of the rear gear case, it is more stable than I expected. In the beginning I was building it the only way to center the object precisely. Now, with the clamp on the upper plate, the chassis is incredibly stiff. I tried to twist eve...
