Re: #6007 RC10 40th Classic Kit
OK I see it in the manual now (wasn’t published 2 days ago). Still odd that it says “x2” but shows 4 washers. Anyway, keeps us active on RC10talk at least ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: #6007 RC10 40th Classic Kit
@duckhead
Wonderful post. Question: Why did you use 4 washers on the front body post instead of 2 per instructions? I was wondering why I had 2 left over after step 1 and you seem to know far more than I do about the RC10.
Thanks!

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Not sure if posted elsewhere but just noticed the AE website shows the RC10 Classic 40th as being “Low Stock”. Perhaps we are getting close to the end (5,00 units?).
My neighbor placed an order 4/22 and has not received a shipping notice (startig to sweat a little).

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Standard. I’m using the kit supplied hex wrenches (gasp!) and they are working just fine. I do like the ability to make slow turns with a lot of hand feel using these small L shaped hex wrenches. I’ve been known to over torque and these plastics are dainty.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
My build is now under way. This is my first RC10. Initial thoughts: 1) Tamiya tool is indispensable for ballstud installation 2) Never met an e-clip I’ve liked… ever 3) SAE: I’ve forgotten my fractions 4) Compared to Tamiya, It’s SO nice to pull parts from single bags that match the instructions. Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
As Jeff mentioned the manual is not included... Not that any of us need a manual at this point but I thought I'd give the QR code a go and grab it anyway... https://img2.associatedelectrics.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/shared/6007-RC10-Classic-40th-manual.pdf Screenshot (3776).png Sometimes you just hav...

Crawler motors, yes, but some of the best brushed motors on the market.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I’m going retro-mod on this and darn it’s hard to find current production (non-crawler) brushed motors for dirt buggies. Thinking the Tamiya Sport Tuned is the easy answer. Any other suggestions? To keep this on topic, a Re-re AE brushed 540 motor would be the icing on the cake for these anniversary...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Thanks for the update. Likely drop-shipping from 3rd party warehouse(s). Seems like a low order number will not necessarily result in a low serial number or earlier ship date. I’m 23xx and ordered 4/15.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Nice! Does the serial number show up anywhere? Wondering if I’d have to crack the seal to see what number I got.
