Re: Simulator training
Pole Position  I had that on 7" floppy in the 80's. Ivan Ironman Stewart was my arcade weakness. I can hear “Prepare to qualify” in my head from the Pole Position arcade at my local pizza joint to this day. I always did the late turn in to corners where you spin the wheel super fast and c...

Re: Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program
Bumping this old thread to see if anyone here has used this exchange program recently. I’m planning to build my RC10 40th with all modern Reedy components and just read about program. Looks like great deals (first one’s on me, they you gotta pay sort of thing!). I’m 100% new to AE so sorry if this i...

Re: Greetings from Mass, USA
Welcome! For an RC10 runner with a 6 gear trans, the outdrive bearing mod seems like a must do to me. The original bearing setup with the outdrives seems like it gets sloppy/floppy and I worry about the outdrive metal gears then chewing up the nylon idler gears. I do the mod just by adding the bear...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Anyone else refreshing the 40th Anniversary micro site link 10 times a day for updates? Asking for a friend  Loooks like some minor updates to the instructions page and a downloadable wallpaper. I can only see the pre-order page. Where are you looking? Very minor changes really…. wallpaper: ht...

Re: Tire/wheel recommendation
Thanks @juicedcoupe I see the brand JConcepts popping up a lot on searches. My TT-02B has Tamiya Dual Block K tires, which look somewhat closer to the J Concepts Double Dee or Barcode tires. The Tamiya tires seem not great on any particular surface I run but acceptable on all of them, but that could...

Tire/wheel recommendation
Total newbie here. RC10 brain trust: What are the go-to tires (and maybe replacement wheels) for neighborhood bashers? I’ll be running the 40th re-re as I would have 35 years ago in a mixed urban environment (parks, ball field, streets, curb jumping, etc). My Hornet and Frog knobbies were half bald ...

Hi RC people. Got back into RC this past year after about 40 years as my kids are about the age I was when I convinced my parents to buy me a used Hornet, which was my pride and joy. This past year I got Grasshopper->Hornet->Frog->TT02-BR->XV-01. Obviously I have a soft spot for Tamiya. RC10 was alw...
