Re: Custom JRX-Pro SE
Its very rigid. Its more rigid than the graphite but not as much as the composite. Its 2024 T3. I have requested colors and pricing from gomachv's anodizing place for the hardcoating process. They call it type 3. I am staying away from bright colors except for accent hardware. I want the car to look...

Re: Fitting universals on a Falcon.
The DF-02 outdrives arrived. Despite being a little shorter than the thorps they engage in the diff halves nicely.

Re: Tale of two JRX-Pro SE's (1992 stock & race)
Nice to see the Pro SE getting some love around here lately. It was my first real race car that I bought with my Christmas money in January of 1992.
I remember it being so smooth and easy to drive right out of the box. A great car. Looking forward to the builds.

Fitting universals on a Falcon.
Is no secret the stock drives are junk. They wear out quickly and either fall out or break completely. There are 2 universally accepted upgrades: CRP uprated driveshafts Thorp dogbones But..........I want universals and I am sure it's possible. So here goes. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h246/8r...

Re: Random RC Ponderings
I remember reading in RCCA that the CVD drive was taken from full size cars. But that was 20 years ago, I could be mistaken. CVD has nothing to do with 1:1 cars. It's just the name that MIP called their rebuildable universal joints, and so CVD has become the standard description for any rebuildable...

Re: Custom JRX-Pro SE
Got my Sabula order today with the natural long shank ball cups I need to do the turnbuckles. I finally have a use for these heavy duty tecnacrafts, which oddly say they are JRX-T but very obviously need the long shank ball cups to work. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h246/8rad/IMG_3017_zpsa99fc9...

Re: Random RC Ponderings
As I'm thinking, I can only come up with two designs that seem to be strictly RC that might work in full scale. Ball diffs and the CVD/CVA style of universals. I can't really see a ball diff holding up to full scale power but it would be cool to see that type of design in a full scale car. The CVD/...
