Re: Kyosho mint green paint

It may be worth contacting Kyosho USA. They may be able to provide. Does the manual show it? - limestang The official colour according to Kyosho is: peppermint.jpg I think the video Akira Kogawa did on the Mid 87 included the actual paints he used to mix the colour, which were all airbrush paints. ...

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special Annouced!

No Ball differentials mentioned OTW101C It comes with the ball differentials, and the steering centre link is the HD metal one. Although a lot of people have replaced the ball diffs in other models for the much more durable gear diffs. As for retaining the battery, coming from on road racing I'm us...

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special Annouced!

There's two target markets for the re-release cars. There's us old timers who were around back in the day and would want it to be as original as possible. But there's the much bigger market of people who have only been into the hobby for a few years and get a nostalgia kick for the old cars but have...

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special Annouced!

The 6 cell saddle pack slots don't seem to be made to actually fit cells. I guess there's going to be a tiny minority who are going to break down a battery pack to make saddles. it doesn't even come with battery straps. Also the body has been modified to fit modern battery packs, so I expect wider ...

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special Annouced!

What are the differences between this and the previous Optima releases? I confess to getting lost with all of the Turbo, Mid, Pro, Special, SE, etc. lingo. I get Mid, that one was easy, but the others seem redundant. Is this the last and best before Kyosho went to the Lazer? In original release ord...

Re: What is it now Team Associated?!

Any guesses? Screenshot_20250423_144208_Instagram.jpg It's the TC8, it's been known about since last year. The going rate for a touring car is around $700 these days. https://events.redrc.net/2024/11/2024-istc-worlds-usa-test/ And all race touring car bodies are that shape these days https://www.pr...

Just weight saving. Removing material will increase flex, not stiffen it.

Re: The RC10 4wd

...Seemed much easier back then turn count/ triple etc & a novak or tekin.. It's much the same with brushless, the lower the turn number the faster the motor, but while you can adjust the motor timing most of the motor tuning is done by programming the ESC. Hobbywing is the biggest name in ESCs...

Re: The RC10 4wd

I feel like the Brits go off the deep end with some of their scrutineering in these revival classes. I've said it before and I'll say it again, make rules simple, over regulating everything just makes everyone's life more annoying. Who wants to sit there teching every car? Our vintage racing here i...

Re: The RC10 4wd

Hey Terry many thanks.. I cant find a combo of both parts tho modelsport do sell them separate..? Race stuff is always sold separately, all the connections are to a universal standard, but you will have to solder the motor wires to the motor. The only advantage for the max10 is that there's no sold...

PopalongRC have an interview with Craig Drescher regarding the RC10 4WD, with a very vague explanation of its history, with his own interpretation of an inline battery in his personal buggy.

Re: The RC10 4wd

The esc is Big.. I got one in my fan on the back bulk head.. bit of a pain! Just wondering if anybody done it? Wouldn't know as the Max10 stuff is aimed at the basher market as they aren't race legal. For a budget setup I would go for the Hobbywing QUICRUN 10BL120 Sensored G2 as it's basically thei...

Re: Neat video of a Japanese rc10 event Pine Beach Raceway in Shizuoka Prefecture 2025

Great video and one of the few of actual racing that I watch right through, usually I skip over them because modern arcing videos are of people nudging unguided missiles around the track. It's going to appeal to us old timers as the RC10s are running at the same sort of speeds we all used to race at...

Re: My Vintage Box Art RC10 replicas

Welcome back, most us disappear for a few years but we always come back again. Carloco8, no I had not heard anything, TBH I still don't know anything about that so I will have to google for it unless there is a place that has links. It was a massive event, even brought Matt Francis out of retirement...

Re: T2 coming?

A few months ago I would have said a T2 was unlikely due to its unique chassis tub, a lot of work making a new chassis mould for a limited number of sales compared to the buggies, but then they released the GT so anything goes these days. Based on the other chassis they rereleased if it does happen ...
