AE #6260 turnbuckles are 1.00" and the #6261 turnbuckles are 1.25".
You could also try the #2283 turnbuckles for the NTC3 that are .825".

Re: Project StealthMode...Minus The STEALTH
I just got back from trying to reverse the castor blocks, but didn't have any luck. Maybe it's a combination of the parts I'm using (short arms, inline spindles & possibly 30-degree blocks), but it's physically impossible to switch the blocks because the spindles hit the A-arms. Maybe a differen...

Re: Project StealthMode...Minus The STEALTH
when using a chassis with no kickup, you need to use the left castor block on the right, right on the left. I know, silly. But, you also have to dremel the carriers. I don't feel like cookin' up a pot of dye just for two little parts. Maybe someday... I just need to find some Cheetah castor w...

Project StealthMode...Minus The STEALTH
I've finally finished the project that started my AE obsession. And thanks to Mr. Lexan, I found the perfect wheels & foams to finish it off. It's such a simple design, but it took me forever to get it perfect. Please let me know what you think. List of parts I used: - TrackMaster graphite chass...

Re: Removing powder coating
Try this stripper from Eastwood...it works great and is re-usable. http://www.eastwood.com/ew-powdercoat-and-paint-dissolver-quart.html Some powders I've worked with couldn't even be removed with industrial paint stippers and had to be media blasted. Also, automotive coolant will eat some powders, l...

Re: what is this
That's a BME Patriot chassis. I have one exactly like it.
It also came with an offset nose plate and shock tower.

I agree! I'm ordering a pair of those Tamiya spikes for my runner.
I did manage to buy a complete set of TQ pyramids for my shelfer. Scr8p is right...the real AE tires are sweet!

PBR, you should have never sold those GVR4's! What number were yours? Those cars that haven't been molested are almost impossible to find. But one day I will own an all-stock GVR4! And yes, I mean the 6-bolt 4G63. Even though first gen 7-bolts were ok, the 6-bolts are bulletproof. My bro is building...

It's been a looong time since I've had the stock chassis, but I believe the servo is held on by tape and not mounts of any kind.

Alternatives To TQ20 & TQ70 Tires?
I just finished an RC10 runner and I'm in need of a set of tires. And since I love the look, I wanted to know if any tires are currently available that look similar to the TQ20 rear and TQ70 front pyramid spikes? I don't want to spend a lot on the real deal tires because this is simply a runner that...
