Re: 2009 auto engine of the year
Since the Mitsu 4G63's legacy has come to an end, I think the new 4B11 should be in the top 10.

Re: What's the Trick to.......
And I thought I was the only person to have this much trouble with these things! I hate them! Every pin in every axle I have has been difficult to remove. I usually end up using a small allen-tipped screwdriver and a hammer to get them the rest of the way out. A small vise also comes in handy. Anoth...

Request: Any Kyosho Slingshot Articles
If anyone has any magazine scans with the Kyosho Slingshot, could you please post them?
These are a few of the mag scans that I'm looking for:
November 1989 Radio Control Car Action
July 1990 Radio Control Car Action

Re: new project I picked up from ebay
Good buy! I saw that on ebay but passed it up because I already have too many Slingshots.
If you need any spare parts, just let me know because I have three rollers and enough NIP parts to make a fourth.

Re: Hot Trick Stuff 'Tuber' w/ Associated parts?
Very nice! A member on here recently had one of those direct drive rear pods for sale on ebay. I tried to win it, but was outbid. The seller didn't know the brand, but it sure seems like something Hot Trick would have made. Here are the pics I saved from the auction: http://i229.photobucket.com/albu...

Awesome choice! My brother used to have one of those on his carpet oval 10T many years ago and it actually did help keep things cooler.

Re: optima / Tecnacraft ad replica
I don't remeber ever seeing this ad. What mag's did it appear in? And what are those dogbones: one-ways? Sorry for my bad eyes, but I think it says ???? Catalog at the bottom? And murphy, I love the sinister wingless look. Get the lighting effects right and you'll have a sweet replica. It appears s...

Re: And Now For Something Completely Different...
Just a few small updates... I've added a Hyperdrive belt drive setup and flipped the tranny plates, Maxtec 30-degree stock motor , Trinity PUSHED 1400 SCR cells, and mounted an A&L Roadkill with side dam and Factory Works rear spoiler: http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee156/AutoMaggerIX/_DSC29...

Hyperdrive Belt Tension?
I just bought a Hyperdrive belt drive system to use on my RC10 TrackMaster tranny, and I wanted to know how tight to set the belt tension? Since the teeth are fine, I'm thinking it will need to be set somewhat tight, and not as loose as the TrackMaster belts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very cool! I met Matt over the summer when I went to race at his carpet oval in PA. He's an awesome guy who builds some amazing rigs.

Re: And Now For Something Completely Different...
Maybe a silly question considering your not planning on running it, but would you run oil in these shocks as well as the internal springs? I do like the look of it. I'd like to know how it goes! I actually debated this myself when building the shocks. For now I actually have the bodies full of ligh...

Re: And Now For Something Completely Different...
( I would like to see pics of the body ) Here are a few pics of the Raodkill body mounted on my Kyosho Slingshot with velcro. I've had this body for many years and it was a spare for my oval LX-T. It's an original A&L and not a new release from Factory Works. http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/...

And Now For Something Completely Different...
I finally got around to snapping some pics of my carpet oval 10T project. It will probably never see the carpet, but it sure looks good. My favorite mods are the NTC3 shocks with internal springs. I got the idea from the crawler guys who do this, and used some medium-weight 3/8"-diameter spings...

Looks like the Stealth is the winner!
I'll try to post some weights of my aluminum and graphite TrackMaster trannies this weekend.
