Interesting that you mention the quality of the fit and finish of the components.
The TRX-1 has rather nominal tolerances (apart from the shocks). Perhaps the black components are of a better quality.

Yes the TRX- 1 was very popular over here in Aus. Brendan Coleman won the Nationals and Vic States (stock) with one in 1992.

That car had a milled chassis from memory. Glad I kept my original from 1992

Damn the seller was adamant not to send to AU.

Looking at the pic, the TRX-1 would have been well suited to the conditions.

All rather interesting. It does seem like a lot of effort just to use AE wheels. Unless the losi knuckle/axle is a simple affair.

I wonder if the losi - ae front axles fit without modifications....

Hi Guys, good tips on the pistons. I guess you could also use a resin/glue to fill the notches and redrill. Ken, I only have the two notch pistons remaining. Even with 60wt oil they are too soft! Was this the spec used at the 91 Detroit worlds? I believe the TRX-1 piloted by Scott Montgomery qualified 4th at that event.
