Wheels for an original Blackfoot

Does anyone know what "chrome" wheels are available today that would fit the original Blackfoot? I don't know if the Blackfoot axles are completely different than the cars and trucks today. I'm hoping to find wheels with holes or slots and not spokes.
Thanks.

Re: Chassis stamping

I haven't seen a twin otter in years. A commuter use to have them down here and when they left that was the last I saw of them. Anyway I'm working on an A but I think it came from the second address. I replaced all the wide arms from a truck conversion back to the stock narrow arms. I can't find one...

Re: pin strips

trx450racer174 your jobs came out nice! Airbrush?

The reason I ask about the tape is because I'm gonna try and paint a body the same as the boxart from the 80s RC10 buggie and they have 3 stripes that turn up at the back.

Re: Transmission tips?

I saw the Thorp idler gears on Ebay and thought they're no good without the other gears. But I guess you can just sit on them and wait. You'll probably have as much wrapped up in shipping costs as you will in the parts. I hate it when the part is less than the shipping.

Re: pin strips

trx450racer174 are you using that tape as a masking tape or are actually pin striping with it?

Those pics were from your oversize catalog/brochure. I think I still may have it around somewhere.

Re: Transmission tips?

I"ve seen the price of used 6 gear tranny's go for between $20 and $60 on Ebay. For what it appears that you get from Jammin Jay I would't waste the money even though I've been spending like crazy for parts! Once I get the rest of the new bearings in and pick up some brass tubing I'll put it to...

Re: Transmission tips?

Heck, do a search for 3/32 ceramic balls and a lot of places pop up. Cheaper too.

Re: Transmission tips?

Boca Bearing has 3/32" ceramic balls which are probably it. They're $3.45 each. Wonder if you can get ceramic washers somewhere? If those thrust balls can be replaced I plan on doing it!!

Re: Transmission tips?

I got a measurement of .094 inches or 2.39 mm with my caliper on those thrust washer balls. I don't own a micrometer which I would have prefered to measure with.

Re: Rebuilding the 6 gear transmission.

Yep, I got it now!! Took me long enough!! I went to elementary school in a place called Cornwells Heights and my sister graduated from Bensalem HS. In the early 60s we moved across the river to Burlington County. I'm outside Sea Isle City now. Now I gotta get to Hobbies R Us and get some supplies!! ...

Re: Rebuilding the 6 gear transmission.

Are you kidding me? The drawing is excellent!! If the hole I made isn't too large then that would tell me that the brass tube would have to make contact with the outdrive bearing AND the outdrive gear or the tube would just slop around the hole. So does the tube make contact with both AND the tube w...
