Re: Need some opinions Please
whoa, how did he miss the roof?!?!?!?!?! the RC10 logo on the side, eh, on the box it's a decal white over white, so I don't think you can fault him too much on that aspect, I always thought the box art looked goofy for that anyway. The font is wrong, He used basic MS "machine" but all the...

Re: Trick looking nitro marine engines?
I'd go for something with the carb facing forward so you can run a big polished mac tuned pipe hanging straight out the back.
I like the billet engine at the bottom of the list myself.

like it's been said, without knowing exactally what you provided him it looks like it might be part communication. If you can work out a discount on round two the guy obviously has the skills to do it. Aside from the inconsistencies that have been pointed out allready, some of the black shadowing th...

Funny, seems we have the same amount of posters we had when there was less than 200 members!
Out of those 3000 members I wonder how many joined, realized they couldn't use the BST, and then split?

Re: *** what's your favorite rc car ***
Lately it's been my spec 17.5 10R50/hyperdrive car because I've been running very well with it. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c63/pbrallstar/photo1.jpg Second is probably my Putnam Bolt that I'm running in spec 13.5 (I also have and identical car set up as an open mod car with a 6.5 in it) http:...

Re: What did I do!! New SC10
I can't switch back and forth as easily, The buggy I'm fine with, but with the SC it takes two or three minutes before lap times level off, maybe it has to do with me being a dirt oval guy by trade? I think this summer my boy is going to start running the SC and I'm going to stick to running my B4 i...

Re: Shodog's Ascot Sprinter
you know shodog, there's a pretty big dirt oval scene here in the bay area, maybe you should bring it out and put it through it's paces? only question is do you want to run it in 13.5 spec or open mod? alternatively you could come run with us in the north bay on the pavement without a wing! L...

Re: What did I do!! New SC10
Another thing you'll want to upgrade soon is the rear hub carriers, the 3/8 x 3/16 bearings in the stockers will let you down after a few races, the loads with the large diameter wheel are too great and the bearing will literally fall apart making the wheel flop like a wet noodle. This will be more ...

Re: What did I do!! New SC10
Glad to hear you're enjoying it! I on the other hand detest racing my SC10!!! I'm only doing it to prove something to myself and because just running 1 class makes for a long day. It's really hard going between pro 2wd buggy and 2wd short course, the driving styles are just so different and I think ...

well, it's definitely held with a small bracket or block, I'm thinking if you don't have resource to make a nice bracket, but want something trick, an aluminum servo mount would probably look and work perfect. maybe something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STRC-STA80072SGM-Aluminum-Servo-Mount-A...

didn't someone build some three wheeled thing on here about 4ish years ago?
speaking of, the forum hasn't had many good oddball builds as of late.

I won't use anything but a Futaba servo personally. For the money the s3305 is a good unit. Tons of torque, medium speed and it would be indestructible in a buggy.

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
then I say just pick up a battery that will get you around the track and get out there. see what class you'll fit in best and ask around about equipment. Nothing wrong with buying used equipment either if it's well cared for. That said, here is a battery charger/power supply that will get you going ...
