Re: ** What's Old is New Tech Thread **
These are all amazing builds - but I have a few questions: 1. Where do you get the battery posts (newer ones)? 2. Are there any advantages to the newer shock towers and long shocks in the front? 3. Where can you get the rear CVD's / hubs and front blocks etc? 4. What spur / pinion gears is everyone...

Re: MMV Challenge: TC's WTF? mobile
Car was stripped down last night and all white parts put into the "solution" for cleaning. I found that a mixture of greased lightning, simple green (lemon) and CLR strips all the dirt and grease off the parts with minimal brushing, and sometimes the parts don't even need the peroxide trea...

Re: The basket case
so it is all stripped down, and the chassis could use a little loving. Anyone ever try dying a Hot Trick chassis? Not to change the color, but to get the red color back and more full?

The basket case
Well, this will be my first truck: rc10t.JPG All of the truck parts are in good condition and I have started the cleaning process. Parts will be dyed black. Tons of dirt and grease build up. Chassis is "fairly" unmolested and is going to be cleaned and buffed out. Hot Trick braces in decen...

Re: Need Help rebuilding Gold Pan
Yup. If it is anything like the B4 Stealth, you will need to cut a square hole in the chassis.

Re: Need Help rebuilding Gold Pan
yeah, stealth transmissions completely rebuilt and cleaned up are going for $40-$119 BIN.
The B4 topshaft will fit on the stealth. I have used it on all my rebuilds. Fits right in and allows you to use the modern slipper.

Re: Colored turnbuckles/tie-rods
that's threaded pipe. I'm not entirely sure that would work. However, I have an alternate route I can use,, just don't want to have to go that way.

Re: Colored turnbuckles/tie-rods
I've searched and searched. Can anyone point me in the right direction for green turnbuckles? Looking for 55 mm and 45mm.... Just for the record, green seems to be one of the least common colors for turnbuckles...I know from experience from my own searches. :? Yeah, they are out there, GPM makes th...

Re: MMV Challenge: TC's WTF? mobile
Parts are starting to roll in. Tomorrow going to see Frankie at New Era for some work. I think I am the reason they stay afloat sometime (I'm sure that's not true). There will be 2 modified/fabbed pieces to this build: 1. Chassis 2. Front bulkhead Front bulkhead?! That's right. Because I am "ol...
