Re: Cannot find the bell crank
Yea, the ebay search function is only as good as the listing title. You'll be able to find some white arms on their too. If not today, some will certainly pop up within a week or two. I've found that searching for "vintage RC10" yeilds good results. You'll proabally start seeing stuff you ...

Re: Reaming holes in Lexan - gotta be a better way
What lexan reamer are you using?
Mine works real good. In fact, I have reamed a hole in a rubbermaid tub with it. The one I have is a HPI.

Re: Unknown RC10 body?
It's andys. here's mine. I also believe it was called Renegade II. It's been a while since I had as much plastic as your examples  However, my paint was pretty nice, when it was new. I just really like all the Andy's paint schemes. Also, I just noticed, lowclass's body has an indention on the t...

That how I mounted my wing last time I raced, in 1989. Also had huge neon red side dams.
I like the look.
The side dams are not shown in this pic but this is how my car looked.

Re: "ae" logo question?
I doubt your going to hear what you want from AE. I wouldn't even call them. They're a corparation and your question has a standard answer, NO. However, in the quantities you mention...it probally won't be an issue they would persue. Of course, if the brace or hold down was free, as in you aren't ma...

Re: Charge rate 1800 Nicd pack
That sounds right. Charging at 3 amps is just fine too. Just charge Nicads as slow as you can or have time for. Also, you probally remeber, to fully discharge them before charging. Again with the discharge, slow and easy is nice but not required. I still use a couple automotive light bulbs soldered ...

Re: Charge rate 1800 Nicd pack
Ideally, charge as slow as you can. But the Nicads are tough. You can fast charge them if you want but they like a slow charge if you have the time. A fast charge won't hurt.
It is an autopeak charger, right? So it will go to trickle charge when full.

Re: Cutting down a chassis
It's been awhile since I cut one but I liked to use a Dremel and cut off wheel. I recommend cutting a shallow "score" on your first pass and then cut all the way through on a second pass. The Dremel grinding tips are good for finishing the edges.
Good Luck

Re: Project Unnecessary Metal: Shelfer Build
Great looking build. The snake is top notch. How does the weight compare to a plastic rc10? Does it weigh more or less than a stocker?
Also, you may want to add some gold aluminum shock caps, if you can find them...

Re: new to brushlees and 2.4 radios
I think you'll like the 2.4 radio. I switched from Futaba FM to an Airtronics 2.4ghz and love it! The range is unbeleiveable with the 2.4, and no glitches.
Looks like a good deal too at $75
I hear the lipos and brushless systems are awesome too but I haven't tried those new technologies yet.

Re: Where to get motor wires (seems simple)
these work just fine, of course you can cut the no-solder clip off and solder directly to the motor.
