When I first got back into rc years back tried venom nimh packs and what a waste of money they were,complete rubbish.. You can also try a glitch buster capacitor that plugs into spare receiver slot an helps stop brown outs... Which is under load dropping of voltage causing LVC to activate or steerin...

Do a google search for the RC handbook,it's a wealth of information for relatively new people to RC.. Depending on how long you are running and the gearing you are using your motor might be just getting overheated and could or could not be damaged from running hot.. What motor and gearing etc.? Some motors struggle with either a tight slipper or big gearing.. Charge your battery first,always best for setting things up after a rebuild.. I've had two mylaps pt's fail and both were sent back to mylaps and were replaced at no cost to me.. Supposed to be a life time warranty on them if your the original purchaser and have a copy of the receipt.. I bought mine from Amain and they were sent back to mylaps Australia and both were replaced...
