Re: Electrix buggy?

Damn it I hate it when I accidentally refresh the page, and lose everything I've written.   Anyway, the jest of it was: I have read peoples reviews, and they seem quite pleased with it. They have a couple of versions. The one called the "Circuit" is the stadium truck ve...

That is bad-ass! Good ol' Escudo... a staple of Gran Turismo 2. :D
Who makes the Escudo body? Dynamite job, btw. How long did it take you to finish?

Re: When does lexan become art?

I just got done watching "The Last Unicorn(1982)" with my 5 year old daughter... ...Being from 1982 it was true animation, not the computer based stuff you see today(although I do love that). Some of the frames were just visionary. That's a great movie. I saw it many times when I was a yo...

Re: Would you rather buy a painted body or paint it yourself

Anyone who knows me, knows I hate painting bodies! I just don't have the patience to do much more than a 2 colour paint job.
If it was for a shelfer, and I wanted something like a box-art repro, I wouldn't mind having it painted.

Somebody on another site I frequent has posted this car, looking for an ID... any ideas? I'm just curious. :)

Re: So for my "first" beer tonight...

Bought a 6-pack of a Jamaican lager, called RED STRIPE.

To be honest, I bought it because of the old skool stubby bottles, but I actually really like the taste. I'll probably buy it again in the future.

The box it's kept in looks like something a serial killer would keep his rusty saw blades in.

Looks good, looking forward to seeing the progress on this.

I cranked up the saturation on one of the pics, and you can more easily see the red adapters behind the wheels.

Picked up a couple of these last night, drinking the last one tonight:

I like it quite a bit. Not too strong, with no weird after-taste.

Re: Finally!

Nice! Yeah, it makes a huge difference when you organize your workspace. I did it a few months ago, but it has started to get pretty sloppy again. It might be time to re-overhaul my setup again.

Re: Team Durango DEX210

It does have some nice features. Droop screws? About time! And the option to run a 4 gear tranny while in rear motor mode is pretty slick too. Not impressive enough to make me replace my 22, though. (only Kyosho will have the power to do that! But it'll probably be years until a 100% new 2WD Kyosho ...

I'm at a buddies house after work, and made a stop by the liquor store on the way.
I saw two types of Yankee Jim I'd never seen before. I choose the Honey lager.

Ha, nice! What's all that wacky white piping? Is that the Outlaw sprint version? Or some sort of home concoction?

Re: First Track?

Very cool thread idea, Dan! The first place I raced at was a place called GP Speedway . I think it was in Brampton, Ontario, but can't be certain. I was probably there sometime in the mid-to-late eighties, with my buddy Jeff. (xxxmain) I ran my Academy Galaxy Buggy (Grasshopper clone) there. Then at...

Re: Radical idea: Shelfer Exchange/Loan

I'll go first. Who's got something they want to exchange for my Gallop? It doesn't have to be anything pre-built, I'd even be willing to take an unassembled/shrink-wrapped kit off of your hands.
