Thanks for the info, Jeff... It'll be a while before I'm ready to refinish the chassis. Only the underside has some minor scratches, so I'll be able to live with it for a while.
After disassembling the car, I did find some minor parts that I need to replace. So now I'm off on the great ebay hunt.

Russ' "New" old goldpan
I just picked up my "new" project. It's an A stamp 6 gear that needs a lot of work. Based on slotcarrod's "25 years" article, the car is a cadillac version (like the one I originally bought in 1986). There's no slop in the suspension hinges, very little wear on the outdrives and ...

Re: HOW MANY TRAILING ARM CONVERSION IS THERE FOR RC10
The guy who opened Bullet Racing was a local racer who was all into the Losi JRX2 when it came out. He was a pretty good driver, and opened a small machine shop in Houston where he started those "knock off" parts...I never knew what became of him after that, as I have long since moved away.

Re: 86 RC10 Paired Up With What Novak ESC ??
That car is in great shape. I used to run the Novak NESC4 in my car in 7-cell mod (dirt oval) with great success. While I agree with the responses, personally, I would sell the T4 (since it's in the package) and get any needed parts to finish up the car. Do you mean buy? Sorry, I misread your post....

Re: HOW MANY TRAILING ARM CONVERSION IS THERE FOR RC10
Jirka, I can't believe you found this advertisement. I used to work for a hobby shop named "Roadrunner RC Cars", based in Houston, in the late 80's. The owner had a financial interest, and helped start Race Master. I was given a prototype of that aluminum bearing race used on the diff shaf...

Re: My old-new gold tub project...
Eau Rouge,
Very nice ride. You have a great mix of parts, and it was very cleanly done. I was going to ask about the Losi bell crank, but you've answered my question in a previous post. I just picked up a gold tub, and wanted to change those items like the one I had back in the 80's.
Again, well done!

Re: just some stuff from my old neighborhood
Now there's some memories...I had a Futaba Mag Jr for 20 years, and it still worked like a champ when I sold it with an Ofna a few years ago. I also had that same Protech charger awhile back.

Re: == Who the Heck Are You? ==
Hello everyone. My name is Russ, and I've been into RC cars at various levels since 1985. I used to race dirt oval back in the mid to late 80's, and even worked for a large hobby shop in Houston. I am a retired Navy Chief, and currently live in Winter Haven, Fla. I haven't raced in about 10 years (w...
