Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
Thanks. I had thinner front wheels on it, in it's previous form, but it made the rears look way too big. Just a few minor tweaks, and I'm calling this one done. ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
OK, here she is in the wild....
Overall, I'm happy with it.
It's complete now, but not "finished". I'll probably do some more detailing, along with adjusting all the running gear. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
She's back together. Now comes the detailing. Hopefully, it won't end up looking too cheesy.
I went with stadium truck front wheels, and it really makes the rears look more to scale. I'm trying not to invest too much in this since it will mainly sit on display.

If anything, just do the rails in gloss black, and leave the cowl in bare aluminum...That piece looks too good to paint.PlastiZapCA+ wrote: I'm dreading the paint job on my dragster.

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
Painting has begun.....
Primed and ready.
Of course, it has to be "official"...... If there's any left, I'll write "Billy Bob loves Charlene" on the water tower.

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
Thanks. The hood turned out pretty good after a lot of grinding and filling in. Trying to get the shark nose overhang to mate up with the grille was a real pain.
The drivetrain is from Axial...no diff, just a slipper, and a posi rear end.
Now comes my least favorite thing.....painting.

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
The rebuild has started up again. I've kept the driveline the same, using the Axial gearbox/rear end. Most of the work is going to be cosmetic with sheet aluminum, styrene and JB weld. Here's the progress so far: jd1.jpg jd2.jpg jd3.jpg Bending the hood was a bit tedious. I used a candle, and slowly...

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
I wish I would've found those when I built the original tractor, but I'm going to make due with the ones I have. I may use some stadium truck fronts to kind of bring the rears more to scale.

Re: The Dragula!
The battery fits nicely. You shouldn't need more than that.
Dad didn't run a car, but used to go to big events a lot. He has some old 8mm movies taken in the 60's from somewhere around Dallas. I'd love to get them put on DVD.

Re: The Dragula!
She's coming along great! I think the scale is spot-on. My dad would get a real kick out of it. He was into drag racing during that era. BTW, what type of battery are you going to squeeze in it?
