Re: Vintage races in Germany?

As far as I know there aren't any :( . I guess most of the vintage RC enthusiasts here are collectors only. A few guys run their vintage buggies in the fun and rookie class of "NRW Offroad Cup" series though.

Re: Searching for vintage Kyosho/ Joel Johnson ads

Hi Todd,

You are right, there are many Johnson ads in the scans archive, but their quality is too poor to get them printed properly.

Searching for vintage Kyosho/ Joel Johnson ads

Hi there, I already posted this request on several other forums but without success, so I'll give it another try: I would like to get myself a T-shirt printed with a vintage ad featuring Joel Johnson. I found several ones on the internet with Joel and his world championship winning Ultima, Joel with...

Re: Restored Kyosho Beetle

No, unfortunately I haven't. But it's no big deal, the widener is nothing else than a wide drive hex. All you need is axles with a hole for the pin and the rim won't get fixed with a nut but by the bushing with thread inside shown in the picture.

Re: Restored Kyosho Beetle

Thanks for the nice comments guys. @Perfect_Enemy: Yes, the body is a reproduction @GJW: The hardest parts to find would be the tires, I used the original ones but they are very brittle. I haven't found new ones for a reasonable price, yet. All other parts were still in place or could be found in my...

Restored Kyosho Beetle

Here is another addition to my growing Kyosho collection: A Beetle. I bought it as a wreck off Evelbay, gave it a good clean and a new bodyshell and decals from Marwan. I left the vintage radio gear in place but added a LeMans 240 motor. I went for my favourite "speedblock" paint scheme ag...

Nice find! We did a Porsche Cup back in the days and those Kyosho bodyshells were the most common. I wish someone would do a repro...

Re: My ZERDA HIROBO

How cool is that? A Zerda was my first 4WD buggy back in the days. As far as I remember the German national championship 1985 was won by a mid motor Zerda. I converted mine to the mid motor setup, too. A few years later it ended up with the rear end chopped off and a Grasshopper gearbox fitted to th...

The two faced Wild One

Wild Ones are pretty much the most beautyfull RC buggies in my eyes. I found this one on Ebay. The previous owner claimed to have it new built of new spare parts. The bodyshell was still NIB, unpainted and with an NIB decal sheet. I bought it for a price I thought would be reasonable but like so oft...
