Re: Serpent Quattro
Hi you have 2 nices cars, with Ranch Pit Stop graphite option, chassis, upper plate and rear shock tower... awesome! Thanks for the heads up on the carbon. one top plate is not drilled for the servos, and looks as new as that lower, so that may be used for a shelf queen. I'm still learning a...

Re: Serpent Quattro
Last few days I found some time for this project. I'm a big fan of the aluminum chassis look of 1/8 scale so I decided to replace the like new carbon lower(main?) chassis with the alloy. Took a short amount of time to swap, but I got a better idea of how this beast ticks. Im very familiar with moder...

Re: Serpent Quattro
I remember seeing that lot for sale. I thought about it, but I don't know the first thing about 1/8 scale onroad, so I passed. Can't wait to see what you do with them. Everything I know about 1/8 scale onroad is coming from hacking a 10T into a GT 15 years ago. ...I too am looking forward to the ou...

Re: Serpent Quattro
I don't recall his name, but he lived in SE Portland and seemed to still be active in 5th scale. He sold me everything for 1/8 onroad that he had around. Very nice guy. I'm sure the trunk he included had his name from traveling to races. I'll see if I can't find a first name for ya. Needless to say,...

Re: Serpent Quattro
Urban,
Thanks. That was really what I wanted to hear. I may go modern with the engine to keep parts available and tuning to a minimum.
I'll look around for a suitable body...
Thanks again,

Serpent Quattro
I bought a Serpent Quattro off a local ex-racer here in Portland. Hoping to use it at our local 1/8th nitro road course here in the North West. I'm really excited to try to get this running for a few weekends this summer just for a side project. I'd like to get a feel for the class to justify purcha...

Re: RC10T Advise Wanted - 1st Time Poster
Brushless and lipo is wheelie happy in a 10t. I have both a 10t and a t4. I run both but the t4 is a much more planted truck with the brushless. The stealth in the original 10t will hold up but the stock slipper will not. I bought the t4 just to have something more modern and easier to find parts f...

Re: all you portland oregon peeps cryin about missing deals.
I gotta fess up... That was my Gold Pan collection. Very sorry to the CL responses I did not respond to. It sold on the RCTech site before I got b/s/t access here. As soon as I sold the lot and thought I was RC10T only, I started grabbing local GT's and TWO came with cadilacs! So my RC10 collection ...

Re: RC10T "barn find"
There is some scratching on the arms of another kit I just received and the white is showing through, but if they were dyed, they did a great job. I am aware that they had black plastic kits just before the T2, but were they dyed, painted or truly black injected? Pics to come, but I was wondering if...

Re: RC10GT restoration project
My third car in rc was a 10T that I cobbled into a gt. Seeing this restoration brings back some great memories!
Thanks for sharing.
And what happened to 2wd nitro? I was rooting for the SC10gt to spark some life! Damn those lipos!!!!

Re: rc10 question
thanks guys for all your replys. i am kinda new when talking about vintage rc's but i find them very cool. i was looking to build a 1984 rc10 goldpan with a brushless motor and a lipo battery. for this type of rc are the parts still available? like rpm tables, and the stealth transmission and every...

Re: Transpoders with Aluminum Tubs
Jeepzz, Does seem like a wire depth issue. Thanks for the reply btw. I was able to run the t w/o any issues this weekend at another venue with the transponder on my rear shock tower. http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z455/tommy911t/EB792D7B-E7B9-407D-BB67-91CEF41E88B7-223-00000047CB77E70B.jpg Gonn...

Re: Transpoders with Aluminum Tubs
Not sure on the loop depth. But they do have house transponders and it is a first class track, so I would assume not too deep. Thanks for the replies. I am going to keep the two smaller transponders in my b4 and 44 and get a third with three tabs velcroed for any tubs I may be racing that day. Im pu...
