I like the RC10 idea. Problem is that I actually have RC10s that need RC10 bodies. The B3 idea is great. I'm going to investigate that more. I do like the longer sides of the Desert Gator, though. So, it's late May...I guess Tower will be changing their stock status to early June in a few days. :D

WOw, that Desert Gator body looks pretty sweet. I wonder how it will do on a Turbo Optima. The wheelbases and mounting locations are very silimar to the Ultima. Do you think it will work? It's $10 on tamiyausa's website. And it comes with the wing.

I think the F-350s are fun. They top out at around 10mph. I've seen the MFU in person at RCX and it's fantastic. At first, I thought it would be pretty lame. I quickly understood the weird exhaust tip mounting situation. I too didn't want another box-art blue truck, so I painted mine with duplicolor...

I have one too and I love it. I can't believe how hefty it is. It's not very fast but it's perfect for scooting around the backyard and driving over rocks and tree roots.

So that's who makes those wheels! Dynamite? Anyways, Kyosho did not release any cars with the equalizer shocks that I know of. They did release the Pro-X team version which has the ultimate shocks. Right, the equalizers come in short, medium and long lengths like the gold shocks. I have not driven t...

The first turbo has the same gear set as the original ultima. I remember using other brands of wheel/tire combinations too since Option House was too expensive for me too. Platinum and equalizer shocks are different. The platinum shocks have larger bores and thick shafts due to the adjustable dampen...

Wow, nice discussion going here. Anyways, My Pro XL has an "XL" sticker on the box. Otherwise, it's all Ultima Pro. It is the best car for racing with the longer suspension arms. Also, you can use 48 pitch pinions which greatly enhances gear ratios. I also have the Turbo Ultima. I actually...

Yeah, I have several cracked bulkheads that I've saved over the years. When my original wore out, I purchased a bunch that were used for the Outrage. They definitely were made from a newer plastic/nylon formula. After I cracked a few of those, I pre-threaded the holes like you said. In some places t...

Hey Terry, did you strip out the front bulkhead on that Ultima. I don't know what it is with those, but some of them were so brittle, they would crack. I have an Ultima Pro XL and I never hacked the back end off the body. I thought it looked funny.

I had a set for a very brief time back in the 80s. They were gorgeous. So gorgeous, that I traded them for some bmx parts. I didn't want to scuff them up, they are really only for shelf queens. :) With the crazy RC10 prices lately on ebay, I'm just going to finish my A&L chassis and that's it. :)
