Yep, I've got the white Delrin as well.

Doing a small shakedown production run on the Delrin right now, 3 white, 2 black (a setup error claimed the third black one )

So that means there'll be 5 Delrin cases ready to go tonight.

And another double-post... Delrin will be the first production run, it's machining perfectly. Also plopped down for another 3 flute endmill in 1/8", this one with a TiCN coating, supposedly better than TiN for aluminum. It's also going to be here Friday afternoon instead of the middle of next m...

I found the problem...

The bearing bores on the housing that you got were .0015 over instead of .0005 over... Didn't catch it because I never threw it on the CMM to verify...

It's been rectified.

The small chunks of Delrin came in Tuesday, I'll be doing a prototype or two Tomorrow. If they machine better than aluminum (no chatter, etc, which I think will be the case), I'll make the Delrin run first.

A lot of things are coming together right now, life feels good.

Just ordered 2 feet each of black and white Delrin (and yes, I got Delrin brand acetal...).

Should be in soon, and then I can see how bad it machines... yippee...

I also have another sample part ready, in case there's another person willing to preorder.

I'll be ordering stock for a 30 unit run soon. If there is interest in more than 30, I can get more. Delrin hasn't been ordered yet, I need to know who wants "natural white" and who wants black, and how many. Mods, where's the best place to put the "Official preorder number inquiry th...

12,000RPM, .125 depth. Same as with the 2 flute. I'll be dropping the plunge rate back down, MasterCam auto-upped it to 8IPM from 5.5IPM, so I'm thinking I might not have had full chip removal.
I've since dropped the depth of cut as well.

Nope, never even noticed it till opstop, the coolant flood is literally a flood... Here's hoping Amazon gets their head outa their arse and ships that endmill... I'm wondering if I had an adhered chip in the 3 flute from the previous operation, it's about the only thing I can think of. I dropped the...

And it broke on the 1st counterbore operation... But not on the full-depth 1/4" holes... same feedrate...

Looks like I'm ordering 2 more, and the 5/16" ones as well. Lead time is 2 weeks...

I'll be getting a 5/16 version as well.

Endmill came in, looks like it'll work out perfect.

If this one lasts, I'll be getting a spare, and 2 of them in 5/16" as well.
