Re: Kyosho Beetle build

I see a lot of Sandscorcher design elements in this car. Which came first? I can also see how the RC10 might have evolved from a design like this one.

Re: Best way to punch holes in lexan

I have a body reamer that I bought from amain a few years ago. Works great. So good in fact that I use it for other drilling projects.

Re: Bearing kit

Avid RC has bearings that you can buy individually. They are excellent quality too.

Wow, sorry to hear this. Have they told you yet why you are having these heart attacks?

Re: Hotshot vs Supershot

Thanks Tamiyadan. This helps but now I have another question. I see that the underguard goes on the way I suspected but how the heck are you supposed to get the battery in and out once its on? Surely you don't have to remove the guard or the side battery holder thing every time? I also wondered if I...

Re: Thinking of getting out of RC...mostly

Thanks everyone! I think it helped this weekend as I cleaned up my garage and did a bit of cleanup in the basement where all my RC stuff is sitting. I will probably feel better about it if I can just finish the Hotshot and get a few more things completed. It doesn't help that I didn't run my RC cars...

Re: Thinking of getting out of RC...mostly

Thanks guys. I think part of why I am having a hard time deciding whether or not to let it go is because of this place. Even though I literally haven't done anything for months, I keep reading up on what you guys are all doing. I just feel like its a bit of a waste seeing it all sitting there. I hav...

Thinking of getting out of RC...mostly

Hey all, so I've been thinking more and more about getting out of RC. I still lurk and read here every day but I'm just not that stoked about it anymore. Part of it could be due to the fact that my kid doesn't want to run them anymore (he has a quad copter) and the other part is because I just bough...

Re: Modern Runner for Open Track Days?

I have a T4, B44 and a B5M. All of them take so much more abuse than the RC10. They are also much easier to drive and setup than the RC10.

But it could be argued they aren't as much fun because they lack a certain 'character'

Re: Going Brushless

Yep, I have a Castle 5700kv in mine and its just stupid fast. With lipo too. After I switched, I'll never go back to NiMH and brushed again, just not the same. Great run times north of 30 minutes and amazing, linear speed all the time for the whole pack.

I can try and measure it for you later today. It's not that big - maybe about 2 inches across and 1.5 inches down.

Re: My first attempt with an air brush

Do you dilute the paint with anything or just use it right out of the bottle?
