Re: What's the best R/C car name ever?

It was a bold move going with that naming. I wonder how many sales they lost as a result. 🤔

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Seems like it would be a ticket or towable offense to me if they left their vehicle like that.

Re: YouTube deleted RC Review’s Content

It was brought up here today: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=586484#p586484

I'll have to watch the video but it seems like complete and total BS on YouTube's part. :?

Edit: Watched the video, can confirm.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

Thankfully the only problem we've experienced with Google was for a time their algorithm kept erroneously detecting 'adult material' with a small screenshot of the offending page, and restricting some traffic as a result. There was no way to know what they were picking up on but I believe it was due...

Re: Vintage Sanyo Batteries

I had something similar my father made for me in the early '90s which was brazed together. I'm guessing I got the concept and design from RCCA. The last time I saw it was several years ago and was missing a lightbulb or two. I may have finally thrown it out. I really didn't understand the concept of...

Re: Tamiya Globe Liner

I love the Globe Liner, and had one back around 2005-2007 that I painted candy apple red. I have a single small picture of it on a hard drive somewhere I'll need to look for one of these days.

It's wild to me that they came out in 94 as I'd guess it would be more like the late '90s if anything.

Re: Tamiya King Hauler

I had two of these back in the early '00s. I remember being surprised at how much smaller they were than expected. I ended up beating the crap out of them, and then cutting them up to use the pieces for other projects. Back then you could get them for relatively cheap so it didn't necessarily matter...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

Oddly enough we just had a bogus sign-up that used 'Tamiya Grasshopper.' I caught it due to the username being a female name. Whenever I have a doubt if a new member is legitimate or not, I check the IP address geolocation and Google the email address to see if it shows up on any spammer list which ...

Re: Pro-Tech 701 pics, Data, and Manual

My first and only hobby grade R/C charger I had back in the day was the 702 model of this. :)

Thanks for sharing!

Sorry about the spam bot. They answered the "What was your first hobby grade R/C model" answer correctly which is how their account got approved. It's rare but it happens.

Re: Tamiya connector tool

Funny this topic should come up as I recently bought a computer cable that was wired wrong which got me looking into pin extractors. I never thought of using old pieces of antennas or K&S tubing!

Re: Reimagining Hotels for Children

Not a converted hotel for kids but across the US there's these huge indoor water parks with attached hotels for families with kids and teens. I see there's also one in Canada too.

If there's any good news that can come out of all of this, it's that this place will benefit from it for many years to come.

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC

There's even people re-packaging used parts to make them appear new at a quick glance. But yeah, looking closely at the header card staples is a very good practice to have! They're a tell-tale sign or the holes they leave if the package has been tampered with in some way.
