Re: losi xxcr KE re-build

Well - it has been an exceptionally long time since i posted on this thread! Work on the car has moved forward - well laterally then forward! I decided to move away from a genuine box art restoration and move toward building the car up for a recent indoor vintage spec class race meeting. I removed t...

Tamiya Holiday Buggy - Radio gear recommendation

Hi,

I have an original Tamiya Holiday buggy less electronics. I was wondering what RX, TX and servos were the choice back in 1982?

I have seen a number around with the Acoms radio (dont remember the model)? I would like to finish this buggy off to keep it era correct!

Any suggestions?

Re: RC10 Runner build - RC10CE?

Unfortunately the car has been thrown together for the ebay sale where i purchased it from. I am not too sure that all the parts are from that car or make. The rear springs look very heavy and too long (?), but all in all its ok. It may have been owned by someone on this site! It will be a complete ...

RC10 Runner build - RC10CE?

Hi, So i will have to get a photo or two of what i am starting with. It was an ebay purchase a number of years ago. The car has a "C" stamp behind the tranny which is a Stealth transmission. Majority of the plastic items are white plastic, however the hubs (front and Rear) and carriers plu...

Re: losi xxcr KE re-build

Some progress has been made, albeit very slow progress. Unfortunately my "allowed" RC time is often consumed by racing or wrenching my race cars so i dont get a lot of time for restorations of my older gear!! I have a few in the back log list! Jrx2 is one of them  Most of the chassis...

Looks sensational. Great detail and dedication to sourcing the parts!

Did you find a shell , wing and decal sheet to add? Would have been a great finishing touch!

Love the Pro-SE - would be nice to see a body with a cool retro paint scheme. Also love the vintage cells!

What era correct servo??

Does anyone have a suggestion for a suitable era correct servo?

For a radio, i still have my old Hitec Lynx 3D system, with a 75mhz Synth module and receiver..

Undecided on the servo  :?:

Re: Losi XX-4 from a friend!

Careful! The XX-4's are an addictive car!

You have a great collection of parts there including some nice trinity goodies too. Make sure you replace the belts and pullies if the cars have been sitting for a long time! The belts turn to dust over a significant period of time and will make a mess!
