The title says it all. Is there a certain tool that is best for this?

Re: pics loaded...Narrow arm, old gold pan converting to Wor

Just keeping it gold for now. I'll be converting it to world's spec and then spending the quality time learning about setup that I never did when I got it new back in college, to see the most it's capable of, and to teach my little girl how to drive too. santa barbara is pretty small and doesn't hav...

Re: convering classic rear to world's rear, questions?

upper camber link rear arm mounts cvd's rear hubs things that you are looking to update would be these. the original worlds manual would have all the part numbers necessary to let you know what you need, should be able to download direct from associated. upper camber link and toe-in (rear arm mount...

Re: converting classic rear to world's rear, questions?

Already have JC racing rc10 2.2" wheels. So should I use the part numbers from the old 1994 worlds manual?

Re: converting classic rear to world's rear, questions?

New concern... Rereading this thread, I get the idea that rc10 axles are 1/4" and that CVD axles are 3/8" so I can't run rc10 back wheels if I go with CVD? Do I have that right? on edit: I see that there is a 1/4" CVD kit also. So if I want worlds CVD, with r 10/wheels I get this o e?...

Re: convering classic rear to world's rear, questions?

so now i'm a little confused. are you saying i can or can NOT use rere worlds stealth (6564) internals in my non-rere worlds, 6565 USA stealth case? and jason, i don't want to be wasteful.. i want to do these 6565 usa stealth cases right. thanks for pitching in. happy to take this to another thread ...

Re: convering classic rear to world's rear, questions?

sounds like i have a lot to learn about how to pick the right internals for my two USA-stealth cases (6565 i think). i'll probably have to start a thread on it, but in the mean time, do you suppose the 1994 worlds manual has the right PN's for internals for my USA-spec cases? i'm ASSuming the 6565 U...

Re: convering classic rear to world's rear, questions?

Thanks mate. That will be the first thing I check when I get back to my road-race car later in the week. Hopefully with a fully installed WC front suspension on my nearly 30yo RC10 classic. back on topic again ;) ... I"m blown away by how inexpensive the Avid prices on bearing is. much much muc...

Re: convering classic rear to world's rear, questions?

Its a 5.0l/302.Ford. So 13726548. I had thought of checking for crossfire, but hadn't done it yet. As a preliminary, I start it at night in pitch black and look for stray sparks. Its not a proper load test, but sometimes it gives itself away anyway. I have been playing with rerouted spark plug wires...

Re: convering classic rear to world's rear, questions?

Gidday dave. I actually plan to run the CVD and worlds hubs. But aren't there any bearings I need for those too? I already have the things I need for the front wide conversion. Should be doing that beginning tomorrow morning. I'll take pics and add it to my thread chronicling the conversion. Been wr...

converting classic rear to world's rear, questions?

so i'm not striving for authenticity... IOW i'm not trying to build a convincing fake. I'm just trying to in a sense, update my original gold pan classic to the latest/best handling parts for it and leave it at that. i've already got a stealth for it and drilled the pan using a B-stamp as a drill gu...

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit

If the buggy is setup right it can be very competitive against the modern buggies and there are plenty of guys on here that race them! This is especially true in road racing full sized cars at the amateur level. Good drivers in slower cars routinely spank less skilled drivers with the best cars mon...
