Re: BoLINK Nitro Racer & RACEtech G-Force Y2K STOCK CARS ad

I did not know that which I find interesting. The rear axle assembly comprises of Bolink parts, too. There was another cheaper version of the Nitro Racer designated as the 'Sport' model which didn't have the dynamic strut front suspension. The original Dynamite Apex10 was a converted Eliminator: ht...

Re: BoLINK Nitro Racer & RACEtech G-Force Y2K STOCK CARS ad

I actually have a Nitro Racer project in the works I bought in 2022 that's brand new never run. I'm still in the sourcing parts phase due to going for a very specific build type. I had no idea that Bolink ever produced a nitro powered pan car, and had to have it! Nitro powered pan cars are a wild c...

Re: Unknown RC10 Composite Oval Racing Chassis

I tend to agree. Although I think Phin narrowed down the chassis with the limited side holes to definitely be composite craft as opposed to another vendor(but made by composite craft anyway). My theory is if it's got 6 holes along each side (and it's not a TQ10) it's a Duratrax chassis....if it's g...

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have

Just remembered I have an aluminum rear pod for the Tamiya Road Wizard/99t sold by Dan's RC Stuff. I think it's pretty rare since I haven't seen another outside of magazines. rwpod.jpg And one just popped up on eBay  https://www.ebay.com/itm/335135560120 Heh, maybe my crap superpower is mani...

Re: The "Golden Age of RC" meaning

For RC Autos it'd be 1974 to 1992. It starts in '74 when Jomac took 1/12 from gas to electric, and it ends in '92 when Trinity put links on a pan car.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

It's an RC500 front bulkhead with separate upper arm mount blocks that attach via a dovetail slide, so that camber can be adjusted....but who made it? It's molded, not machined so it's probably not a custom one off.

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have

I'd say the white Houge Arm (only the one :? ), the set of Slam Dunkin cantilever suspension rocker arms, the Hobby World Frog ball diff, and the Cook Racing magnesium Delta Eagle diff housing, & magnesium RC500 motor plate are all equally the rarest parts I own.

Re: I'm so confused right now. Varicom....

Did some Googling to confirm it, and Varicom was a brand name used by Hobby Shack that imported/rebadged RC stuff from Asia BITD (e.g. Thunder Tiger, & Mugen). So, yeah, just like Aristocraft, which was a brand name used by Polk Hobbies to resell the RC stuff they imported from Hitec, etc. KO US...

Re: I'm so confused right now. Varicom....

I believe Varicom was a US importer like Aristocraft(Polk Hobbies) was for Hitec.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Took the day off, so headed out this morning to my ex-hobby shop owner hook up, and picked up a few things. It ended up being AE spare parts and random body day! Couple of Bolinks, a few Dahm's, three AEs, and even a A&L snuck in there. Ended up with absolutely nothing I was hoping to find, but...
