I'm not a motor collector but the Dynatech 02h is a piece to a puzzle that I'll probably never actually put together. There's also a Tamiya Acto-Power TRF Tuned motor, which I didn't know existed until I bought the lot.

Re: MIP cable kit RC10

I don't know if the replica MIP rear transmission is the same as the original but if so it's a 2:1 ratio and used metric Mod .6 gears (40t diff + 20t top gear)...same as the ones used in the Tamiya SRB trans. The original front 4wd gearboxes used different gears (30t diff + 15t top) but I'm not sure...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Yep, I know this is a 540 motor.... but other than that, I have no clue. Anybody know more than that? Turns? Model designed for? Motor is a Flying Point FP-2100B 540 size. That's all I have, other than it looks like a black silver can... 02.jpg Don't know for sure, but it might be for FP's Onro T10...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

That's a Duratrax buggy chassis not a JG SRT long wheelbase chassis. Still nice though.

Also the wheels (I think) are Pro-Lines.

Re: Predictions for the RC hobby in 2035

1) Vintage RC will increase in value (people will want the authentic golden era RC stuff) I'm not sure about this one. As our group ages there are going to be fewer collectors as some will pass on, and more will be entering retirement and have to slow down/stop purchasing RC due to fixed incomes + ...

Re: 2WD Buggy wheel identification.

Fronts look like T&A, but I'm not sure about the rears. The holes look smaller and farther spaced out.

Re: JG Truck

Thank You Phin!!! I am not sure how you pulled out the exact issues of RCCA, and the fact that Feb and Mar of '91 have flip flopped covers on the scans, but I am sure glad you could!! :D I had a JG truck project awhile back so I went through the research phase myself. Unfortunately after ~8 years o...

Re: JG Truck

The JG SRT appears in the March 91 issue of RCCA (which is the Feb 91 issue of the scans) for the What's New For '91 feature. The only RCCA ad I've seen for it is in the July 91 issue of the scans. The only NIP parts I've seen for the SRT were packaged individually (rear arms came with dog bones), b...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)

I think what's odd to me about the rear shock tower is I can't see any screws in it. Makes me wonder if it and the bulkhead might be one molded piece.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)

The talk of screws made me think of a possible missed opportunity: a new nose plate with a lower kick-up angle. :(

The rear shock tower looks odd through the windshield....and shouldn't some of the rear bulkhead be visible if it were stock?

You're right. I don't know how I mistook it as a Dahms body.
