Re: Can't tell which is better for the DB-01 chassis
i honestly wouldnt bother with all the aluminium bits unless you break something, the plastic parts are quite strong so unless youve got a super fast motor in it, you're unlikely to break much bodies? yes there are people/places that do them, others will know more double slipper clutch, its a system...

Re: Can't tell which is better for the DB-01 chassis
hey SH i guess whats missing in your info is where you are shopping, i just cheked ebay, u can get both the durga and Baldre for ~$200 US + shipping There only difference between the durga and the baldre is the body, that is it , there are no other differences, if a shop has them priced differently ...

Re: Can't tell which is better for the DB-01 chassis
with the DB01, the best option is to get the DB01R (i think thats what the other guy meant with the MS) it comes with the trf dampers, alloy arm mounts, slipper clutch, as stated before, all the additions cost much more than you'd pay buying the durga or baldre then adding on, speedtech have a reall...

Re: Cougar 1 transmission
thanks for the input guys, it actually makes sense when i think about it, a simple 3 gear tranny would be hard to beat, especially for 540 racing

Re: Cougar 1 transmission
thanks for your thoughts mad racer, this is the weird thing, and it could be more dependant on the particular transmission but some say belts are more efficient, some say they arent, i agree that one of the coolest things would be the smoothness to drive, a feeling which is added to by how quiet the...

Cougar 1 transmission
hey guys just thinking about the cougar 1 and belt drives in general ive heard the cougar belt drive described as "sluggish", so do people in general upgrade to a geared box out of one of the other models or is the cougar belt drive a good thing? its got me thinking about belt drives, in 4...

Re: Curious about modding Tamiyas
While I'd love to keep the stick radio for nostalgia reasons, I can't find a 2.4ghz 2 channel stick anywhere and I don't know what it would take to convert an old stick radio over to 2.4. Check it http://www.modelflight.com.au/products/Spektrum_DX2M_2ch_2_stick_Surface_Radio_Tx_Only_DSM-8890-22.html

Re: tamiya astute
the way i think about it is the astute was the super astute's predecessor which was the predecessor to the dyna storm. each time they refined the chassis, (long front shock setup in the dyna storm and simpler hubs/arms arrangements in the super astute) and put in a better tranny, TTC then MDC. thoug...
