Re: RC10GT I picked up today...
Well it sounds like I'm in for an adventure, since I've never had any experience with nitro engines before. The thing is I bought this truck to resale, as that's what I do for a living. But the more I look at this thing and as I admire what great condition it's in, I'm leaning towards keeping it. I ...

Re: RC10GT I picked up today...
Thanks for that tip, I'll pull the head and see what it looks like in there, never really thought about it just being gummed up. I don't have any nitro fuel for it right now, anything else I can use to flush it out with? I can't image to much being wrong with this thing, it honestly looks like it's ...

RC10GT I picked up today...
So I got another awesome deal today, this time it's an RC10GT. It came complete with everything needed to run and a few extra parts still NIP. So are these gas trucks hard to maintain? I've never owned anything Nitro before. Also the pull start won't budge on it, any suggestions on that? I'm not sur...

Re: Front Steering, anyone know what this might fit?
as long as the treads aren't stripped out of the noseplate it doesn't need to be there. shorten the screw, too. if they are stripped, use a small low profile 8-32 nut and cut the screw down to the nut. Thanks scr8p, I just removed the nut and I'm surprised that the thing wasn't stripped out. Everyt...

Re: Front Steering, anyone know what this might fit?
looks like the hex collars thread down on the 8-32 screws, then the bellcranks, then the nut on top. should be it. Oh I see, it didn't look like this was all able to come apart, those hex collars are in there pretty tight. But thanks for the help, I got it installed, but now I have another issue. T...

Re: Front Steering, anyone know what this might fit?
Anyone know if these take special bolts to mount these? They don't seem to want to go over the ones already in place. Do you have to thread them on or am I just using the wrong style of bolts?wyldbill wrote:it looks like the composite craft bellcrank that i have, and yes much more beefy than the stock version.

Re: Front Steering, anyone know what this might fit?
So it does fit the 10T huh? Dang, I have a 10T, but not looking to add any parts to it right now, just trying to get my team car running smooth. Looks like I'll have to find someone willing to trade me
Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. Damon

Front Steering, anyone know what this might fit?
I bought this front steering on eBay, it stated RC10, RC10T, RC10T2 & RC10GT. I thought I was buying a nice ball bearing steering for my team car, but instead I got a part that's to long to fit into my buggy or my 10T. This thing is built like a tank, very heavy duty for sure. does anyone have a...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
These guys do 5 spoke wheels for the old RC10 1/4" axles that fit 2.2 tyres so if your prepared to wait a week or so for shipping fom the UK its a winner that will save you from buying hubs and cvd's. http://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/products/ Wow, those look pretty nice and a great price on ...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
One thing I've learned pretty quickly is that name brands like Futaba while they are most definitely great, there are alternatives which are so much cheaper that for my needs (bashing), there is really no need to pay for a brand name. Some examples are the Fly Sky rx / tx combo I got for 45 bucks f...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
I won't use anything but a Futaba servo personally. For the money the s3305 is a good unit. Tons of torque, medium speed and it would be indestructible in a buggy. Well I'm going to need indestructible for sure, lol... My buggy has a Futaba 5148 in it now, but if I can improve on that at a low cost...

Yeah, I like the looks of those Gens LiPo's and the price is right for me as well.RC104ever wrote:I have so far only used Savix but the servos on Hobbypartz are dirt cheap. I already mentioned the Gens Ace lipos which I have 3 and all have been excellent.

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
I believe they are from HobbyPartz.com. You can get them on e-bay, but they are way overpriced. -Jeff HobbyPartz website says it's out of stock on those units, but I will keep checking back as it will be a few months before I try to take this to the track. Thanks again for everyone's help, you guys...
