Re: RC10 Ball Cups?

They'll work but if you put all rpm cups together in the steering area they will rub yet. I've seen alot of guys use stock cups on the inside top turnbuckles and they pass without rubbing but otherwise yep...they'll work for your rc10 Todd Yeah I see what you are saying, the ones that I have rubbin...

RC10 Ball Cups?

Will these things fit my RC10 buggy? http://www.ebay.com/itm/RPM-73381-HEAVY-DUTY-WHITE-4-40-ROD-ENDS-BALL-CUPS-RC10-/270835568070?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f0f0ecdc6 I replaced the shock tower today and got to noticing that it has 3 ball cups that are much bigger then rest an...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?

I recently puchased some Gens Ace hard case LiPo's (ROAR approved), and so far they are great. I think they were $29 a pack, and free shipping if your order is over $50 (so you should think about purchasing 2). I did allot of research, and they were the cheapest ROAR approved LiPo's I could find. -...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?

Well that sounds like good advice to me, battery and charger first and then I can fine tune the buggy chassis as i go along with other mods.

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?

about the least you can get away with for a decent combo is the speed passion stock spec system, it really is the bottom rung though, if other people are out there with better motors (stock esc is pretty much all the same in brushless, as long as it's a "non boost" class) you will get out...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?

So I'm looking at these brushless combos now and I really like this setup here - http://www.hobbypartz.com/26p-blcombo-toro18-25a-5050kv.html This seems like a good deal on a brushless combo deal and it can handle the LiPo battery pack as well if I want to invest in that. that setup is for 18th sca...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?

You are walking on a slippery slope... Lipos are cool, but you will need a either a new ESC too or cut-off device to protect against low voltage. Lots of guys on this board run without, but always seems risky to me. In the same situation, I spent my money on brushless first. Much more consistently ...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?

I will check into a LiPo battery pack, I can spring for a $50.00 pack, I see a Venom 1580 4000mAh 11.1V 3S 20C LIPO w/ Universal Plugs, that any good? Guess I'll need a special charger for that as well? I'll be running the Protech body and thanks for that wing kit #, I'll start looking for one. Than...

Re: Dog Bone Issue!!!

Well that explains it then, that bushing is screwed anyways. I'll keep my eye out for some cheap parts and try to fix it the right way. Thanks again for the help.

Re: Dog Bone Issue!!!

Look closely, the right outer axle stub cup is missing or broken in half- Well it wasn't missing, but once you pointed that out I did see where one hub stuck out a lot further then the other. I pulled the wheel and this is what I found. I just hammered it back in place and now it's all good until i...

Dog Bone Issue!!!

This is the RC10T I picked up and I'm just running it as a runner for some play time for now, but for some reason the Dog Bone popped out on one side and now it seems like it's to short and it doesn't fit. I've taken both sides apart to compare them and they look the same to me. They both have a sma...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?

and get you a nice set of bearing supported bell cranks - not 100% needed but will enhance the steering, as long as you switch out the piano wire for a turnbuckle and some ball cups to the steering servo. But it should prove more than capable, and a blast while wheeling at the track! I didn't think...
