Yep, works like a charm. You need some spacers and a washer or 2. There's a photo of my setup in my Optima thread:

Re: lets see your most prized RC possession.
My most prized RC possession is a work-in-progress: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-uzonPc4vVPw/VMbewVL6ReI/AAAAAAAAEhA/GryvkK6eBes/s800/DSCF1389.JPG 1:8.5 scale Land Rover Series III 109 station wagon, scratch built out of aluminum. Been working on it for a year and a half now. Losi Mini Crawler...

Re: Contemplating a big change in direction in the hobby
You know, it's not even really shelf-queen-vs-runner. I would have no qualms about running any of my cars; I just... don't. To a larger extent, it's more that I came to RC cars from static models, I never really got good enoguh at racing to have developed a sense for RC race cars as vehicles in thei...

Re: Contemplating a big change in direction in the hobby
Yeah, I doubt I'll ever leave the hobby entirely. I've been a car guy as long as I can remember, and I went from Matchbox cars and Tonka trucks, to plastic models, to slot cars, to RC cars, to real cars, and then incorporated RC cars back in. And if I can find a little space and money, I'm consideri...

Contemplating a big change in direction in the hobby
This is just me rambling, don't feel compelled to read it... I'm thinking seriously about selling a lot of stuff. Like, half of my collection. Why? Because it has become just that: a collection. Over New Years, I cleaned up my hobby room, reorganized the display shelves, dusted off each car, played ...

Re: Working on a Raider...
Nice Raider! Underrated little cars. I was up to five at one point; now I'm back down to just one. They won't win any serious races, but they sure are fun to drive. Tough, too, with a few minor exceptions (rear axles and differential outdrives, mostly), but if you stick with milder motors you should...

Re: Craiglist rc parts/cars posts, hilarity thread
Sort of an aside, but does it bother anybody else when an ad for an RC car says "only played with a few times"? Yes, OK, we know they're technically just toys. But it makes me get kind of defensive. I don't "play with" my cars. I run them, or drive them, and I also build, repair,...

Re: using up some odd bits....with Grizzly results!
Just giving you a hard time. Seriously though, it drives surprisingly well, and turns nice and tight if you tap the brakes to shift some weight forward. I only put it on its lid once, and that was a nose-over when I hit the brakes in midair. It's way more stable than a Wild Willy 2 or a Lunchbox. No...

Re: using up some odd bits....with Grizzly results!
That's me doing the driving. This thing is a hoot to drive... when it runs, that is... it's about as reliable as a real Vega.

Re: The V.K.R.I. (Vintage Kyosho Rebody Initiative)
So, white with some sort of stripes across the front. Easy enough. I had forgotten that they have that flat-topped rear wheel arch. I may ignore that and make them round, if the tires rub at all. This one is primarily for running, and looking cool doing it, rather than complete accuracy. Also tossin...

Re: The V.K.R.I. (Vintage Kyosho Rebody Initiative)
The body looks much better than the actual car. The fenders are much bigger and meaner looking on the RC version. Yep. I'm considering adding to it a bit as well, maybe "Group B" it up a little more. Rear spoiler coming off the fenders, fog lights in the air dam, that sort of thing. Not q...

Re: The V.K.R.I. (Vintage Kyosho Rebody Initiative)
Yep, I know the pedigree. The LeMans actually wasn't a bad car to drive, but the reliability was pretty dismal. I think it's because it was built by Daewoo, instead of Opel, before the Koreans figured out how to build cars properly. When I visited England a couple years ago, our rental car was a Vau...
