Re: Vale's first Yokomo (YZ-10)

If your coating the mag mount, go with a testors dullcote, its flat, and goes on very thin, and R is right, itll preserve the finish, ive got new sealed ones that look terrible, but thats Magnesium for you lol!

Re: Vale's first Yokomo (YZ-10)

Most folk seem to have the motor mount bead blasted, but id just give it a blast off with brake cleaner as i don't like the shine after polishing lol. Your wing may come up with a bit of Novus plastic polish, but it looks like its the side fences that are scuffed, so some nicely placed large sticker...

Re: YZ10, full rebuild!

Painted myself a new shell for racing, and started on fitting the lipo packs. Ive used lipo locators, and filed a tad of the front posts, so i can keep it neat and as original as can be, just need to raise the posts now on spacers and were set. I ve added some ballast, but i think ill need more as i...

Re: Vale's first Yokomo (YZ-10)

Looks a great start, id have jumped on that too TBH! Front arms are maybe your rarest bit there, as for a bumper, i have a few still formed, drilled, but not finished. JC for wheels, avoid the ARP wheels on Ebay, they are JUNK, and crack with the slightest impact, think i may have a wing i can part...

Re: Vale's first Yokomo (YZ-10)

Agreed, that wing is ridiculous, but in this hobby, you do get the odd dreamer lol, may try a lexan wing anyway to save the nylons i have, seems a good option!

Re: MX4 info needed

Kinda lost who i spoke to about these, now i find the thread lol, i want a pair of works trays (870) and, if i was to trace, draw round my '94 chassis, reckon we can get trays made, I'm running both mine now and could do with making the move to Lipo!

Re: New Project Works '92

Haha, flu i can paint, but not to this level, had it done by a top man on Oople! The wing is a Mikes racing products affair, bought a few a while back! Front wing is a piece of undertray cut up, easy fix, thanks for the compliments buddy, i do try, hopefully a vid soon of a carpet meet, nothing craz...
