Re: CARBON BODY

Looks good. In 1:1 cars, they are making a lot more parts out of carbon and the new thing is a paint scheme that is masked so carbon shows through in key areas as part of the paint scheme. Maybe maintain strength buy painting the windows similar to the stickers Traxxas uses on their vehicles. A half...

Re: 6221 inline steering arms

Interesting you bring this up. I broke them on a team car setup but after repeated bashing in the RPM worlds car, these haven't had an issue.
Are you running black ones or white? Steel axle or aluminum? Just curious.

Re: recoloring parts

HI!... I've never had any luck with the RIT liquid dye. I always use the powder. Maybe there is some chemical reaction going on between the new black dye and the dye remover and white wash? Maybe it soaked right into the material and is effecting how the black dye functions? I have to agree, I have...

Re: RPM Motor Guards AVAILABLE check it out...

Believe what you want but they have more than a few they didn't know they had until I asked... They still had both the yellow and silver front springs that came with their World's front conversion kits last year when I ordered a pair of each. They probably have a whole pallet of Ultra Molded...

Re: Soldering questions

Soldering is similar and as much an art form as welding is. Both require patience, a little skill and proper prep. I am an electrical-mechanical technician by trade and I have been soldering for 30+ years. I always manage to learn a new trick here or there so I thought I'd pass a few along here. A c...

I see. I assumed you were putting them on a truck nose plate in the first place. I need to do less skimming and more reading

Looking good!
I'm a bit confused though, I thought you didn't like the truck arm setup on this chassis setup? What has you thinking differently?

Watching intently as I have a T2 here and I'm not sure what I plan on doing with it yet.

Re: RPM white front arms

I am trying to find a set of rear Andy's arms in white but that full set of RPM arms would work. If you don't move on them Bob, please pass me the info.

Thanks

Re: '91 RPM Worlds build

Look on eBay for an RC10GT aluminum front bulkhead. I've got one. You'll never break it. I thought about one of those but I'm not a big fan of aluminum parts. Sure they are strong and won't break but they also transfer the force elsewhere. I'd rather have something plastic that, if stressed in exce...

Re: '91 RPM Worlds build

Well, I've had the car out to the track a few more times since my last post. Just thought I'd update on how things have ben going with this vintage racer. I was bumped up out of Novice class with the car, not because I won a few races, but because the track owner really thought I could hang with the...

Re: Carpet buggy racer questions

Grip rolling is a problem. I found an odd quirk that I think is related to my brushed motor setup. In a corner if I stay on the throttle, I can usually carve a half way decent line but I'm not always that good. I've found that when I completely let off the throttle, I get rear wheel lock up and the ...

Nice, I was wondering where you had the carbon made up before I read too far in. Nice project and great idea. What's the chassis thickness?

Man Lexus, you brought this one back from left field after a two year slumber! Lil'muffin sounds like a character you would have seen on a Tales From The Crypt episode! Just don't piss her off, she may have you as a midnight snack and invite us all to your estate sale  http://crypticrock.com/...
