Re: 6 Gear transmission build tips??
Should black grease be used on the thrust bearing/washers? Or is that just for the stealth? Also in the Halsey rebuild instructions - if up to .015" is removed on the spline plate hole so the gear drive pivot can be moved down to get smoother gear mesh with the idlers then you won't be able to ...

Extra holes
Rebuilding this gold pan I bought used. Does anyone have ideas on what the 2 side holes were used for? Not sure thread size yet. 8-32 screw pretty sloppy.

Selecting correct tire width
Newbie here. Probably been asked already but so far haven't been able to find an answer in a search. I got a set of JC Racing 5 spokes and in researching 2.2" tires I realized that depending on the tire there are several different widths available, none of which seem to correspond to the wheel ...

Dremel or hacksaw off as much of the outdrive cup as you can then file off the rest. The large internal retaining ring is still used to keep the bearing in the metal idler, then the e-clip is used to keep the whole thing on the shaft. After you get your idler sorted then you can shape the case, do ...

Motor mount question
On A stamp pan. On the end with the 2 threaded holes that gets attached to the chassis - why did they extend the plate so far past those threaded holes? What happened to my car is that the end of the motor mount plate hits the chassis resulting in about an 1/8" gap that has to be closed up when...

Re: Gold Pan version?
Here's some pics of my car. It's an early cadillac in an edinger box. Broken down for the most part to do a rebuild. Purchased 86/87. Previous car was a Hornet. Always had an interest in the hobby but never got fully into it. Kit sat mostly unfinished until 91/92. Maybe have a couple hours at most r...

Gold Pan version?
What defines the era of an RC10 - the box or the actual car? I bought my kit 86/87. The box is Edinger but parts are Cadillac. The manual is dated 84 but references the newer parts. Motor has Edinger label. Front tires are 4-ribbed - no writing fronts or rears. I checked the 25 year thread so I know...
