Re: Remove dried adhesive from a chassis?

I second the lighter fluid. It works well at times, usually all of the solvents seem to make the adhesive kinda gooey or greasy but enough to loosen it and wipe it off with a few applications. what happens to the dye with bleach? also saw people talking about hydrogen peroxide out in the sunlight or...

Re: C stamp chassis find

How are people repairing cracks in bodies? Is there some better way than just using shoe goo? there were a couple threads on here about mixed success with brake fluid. Hope it works out

Re: Craiglist rc parts/cars posts, hilarity thread

Halgar is exactly right! selling stuff on craigslist is an absolute pain. I've yet to try to sell smaller items but bigger items, specifically vehicles, really gets people crawling out of the ugliest crevices in town asking about partial trades for a pool table, boat or above ground swimming pools. ...

Re: Traxxas...I'm hilariously horrified!

I don't know that it's the same nationwide or even if the stores are but my closest pep boys auto parts store has been selling traxxas cars and hop-ups for several years. I always thought that was bad enough

Re: Thought I will try something a little different with r/c

Can't see the servo in the picture (probably micro) but yeah, at $40 can't hardly go wrong. I haven't gotten into boats, not a lot of easily accessible bodies of water in Arizona. But the plane should pretty well in low/ no wind or a large indoor area

Re: Very Early Prototype Associated Cars from Curtis

I must be missing some important bit of info or history...Does the stealth car look very similar to the composite craft chassis? did they copy this prototype or were they contracted to build them? Either way it is always neat to see prototypes of anything especially these early cars. Nowadays its al...

Re: Ascot Sprinter #1004?

I've got one that looks very similar to this one, I have the original box still. I honestly can't recall if its an Ascot like yours. Pretty sure it is. I do not have a numbered plate though. I'll try to dig it out and post pictures sometime later. Does your car have a stealth or six gear Trans?

Re: LX-T rebuild for shelf.

looks great, my very first official rc was also a losi lxt. Later on I opted for a xxt sport i think it was called and pulled all the bearings and shocks and whatnot off the lxt to upgrade the xxt. I too still have the lxt and the xxt....to think of it I don't think I have sold ANY of my cars over t...

hotdog parts interchange

I don't have any pics right now but I have a yokomo hotdog (4?) that I took some parts off of several years (14/15 to be exact) ago and I Think I have long since lost a few items. I think I am missing some of the front diff parts and didn't know what if any other models would interchange with it. I ...
