Re: Back in Time - XLS For Vintage Racing

So that brings us up to late July 2015 with the 2015 IconicRC Revival just days away. I'd been rushing to get a Bosscat Works built and was almost finished, so needed to turn my attention to reviving the XLS. Despite having no time available, I was determined to solve the ball joint problems and put...

Re: Back in Time - XLS For Vintage Racing

Hello All, I can't believe I haven't updated this thread for so long! OK, well I've been back through and fixed all the picture links so it's easier to refresh your memories of where I'd got to - which was ofcourse, having got the car into some kind of state of completion just prior to the 2014 Icon...

Excellent, that's good to know. A pdf manual would be great, thanks!

Re: Procat Refurb No.1

Holy thread resurrection Batman! It's been so long since I started this build that half of the photos have disappeared for some reason - I'll try to fix that. Anyway, I've finally 'finished' this totally original, as-per-the-instructions build. The ONLY parts I'm missing are the wing buttons. https:...

Does anyone have any pics of a Schumacher Nitro 10 Panther?

I have a Nitro 10 Panther sitting around which needs a couple of bits sorting out before I sell it, but I want to check that it is all the correct spec and no odd bits from other cars. Google surprisingly fails to turn up any meaningful pictures.

Any help appreciated.

Always worth stocking up on alloy shock bottoms whenever you find them - it's the only way to make the varishocks worth using.

As for the rest of it? Well that's just collateral collection...

A nimh pack - a million times better than a Nicad, without all the disaster potential of a 12yr old with a Lipo!

They were on the car when I bought it in the early 90s. Still have plenty of life in them and coped easily with a 14quad motor.

Re: Back in Time - XLS For Vintage Racing

How did you get on with the roll bars as I'm after a couple of pairs if you fancy knocking up some :D Would love to, but time is something I don't have at the moment. The front one worked perfectly, although was a bit tricky to make the tight bends and keep equal lengths both sides. I used Loctite ...

Re: Cougar 2 Team_Rebuild for racing

I did a few laps at the end of a normal race day at EPR last weekend. EPR has a huge tabletop , a smaller one and is generally a very ripply astro/tarmac/concrete surface. The C2 was sublime, waaaay easier to drive than my modern racer and easily able to clear the large tabletop. It was so good, I'm...

Re: Hi from south London, England

Hi Medved, I'm down the road in Orpington! If you want to have a crack at racing any time, I race at Eden Park Raceway in Beckenham. There's a meeting tomorrow if you want to pop down for a look. PS: We're hoping to start a vintage class if enough people have cleared out their lofts. I'm hoping to r...
