The standard Mid didn't have the sway bars but the Turbo and Turbo SE did. Looks like they might be re-using the arms from the Turbo Optima re-release.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Legendary series - 30619
Personally I'm not a fan of the TO's wheels, they have very light greyish tinge to them (the re-release Optima wheels are the same) and don't look as nice as the originals that are distinctively whiter. I'd also prefer the original 3 piece design so you don't have to glue the tyres on.

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
Keith You're quite welcome. I did just get a reply from Amain tech "The outer diameter of these rings measures 18.5mm while the inner diameter measures 8.1mm." This is close enough to get me to order a pair of these pressure plates and compare with my originals. I will update when I get t...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
Thanks Chuck , very handy info there. I've got an incomplete SE here with a few upgrades and very tight diffs, feels like they're in bad need of a refresh. Apart from the diff parts, I think I have most parts needed to get it back in one piece except for the stabilizers.

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
On the subject of SE ball diffs, are we limited to Kyosho replacements of the diff balls and drive washers or are there generic parts that will fit and work just as well?

I was talking to you on Facebook regarding the body masks, now that I've seen your post here I'll keep an eye out for updates. Keith ;) Welcome here... There was someone asking similar questions as well on TC at the same time... In case you want to see more on the process using those masks, you may...

Nice build Derek, I'll have to check here more often, been a bit slack lately. What screw kit did you end up using?

Re: Kyosho assault question
Try looking for Beetle re-release wheels, they're identical to Assault wheels apart from the rears being one piece. Part numbers are SCH004Y for the rears and the fronts are SCH003Y. Marwan does repro front and rear tyres or just get the Beetle, Scorpion, Tomahawk tyres.

Re: Recent EBay project original turbo optima package
Nice TO, should clean up well. The front damage with the broken front brace and bent lower guard is very common. You see a lot of people replace the plastic front brace but neglect to straighten out the alloy lower guard which is a shame because it just doesn't look right, so that would be my advice...

Nice, I sold my nitro one recently and I have the yellow, black, white body coloured electric one, it doesn't have imitation engine cooling head.

Very cool build Dennis, I'm guessing you did a build thread on this? I'm curious about the rear shock tower and wing mount.

"I really don´t know why - perhaps I´ve got too many Optima´s"
Is it possible to have too many Optima's? If so, is 16+ Optima's something to be concerned about?

Re: Stinger MKll restoration
Sounds like you fitted the decals dry, didn't use a solution to help line them up accurately? Bakauata, yea I bought a Stinger MK2 about 6 months ago, came pretty much complete (and barely used by the looks of it, it's very clean) with servo's but no transmitter/receiver, also an original new uncut ...
