Re: Gold pan whole lotta metal build.
This thread was very inspirational. I love the metal items and the track rods etc. Very well made indeed! It is perhaps a little too shiny for me personally. Really superb example!

Re: My RC10 Worlds Car, Body update
What body is that? Looks like a Mirage Turbo but without the side ESC lump and flared sides. Very nice!
I have a mint newbuild World's on the way to me now. I will be switching the original yellow wheels for alloy ones.

I never knew Associated made these bright coloured chassis. I have never seen one in the UK. Were these for USA only?

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans
I just asked that guy if he will make the spoked wheels for a vintage RC10. I also mentioned a few on here may be interested too. I hope he gets back to me! I wonder if he has a minimum order amount?...

Re: RC10 alloy parts
I didn't realise so many parts were interchangable from old to new. It has given me a few ideas for my RC10 World's. Thanks for sharing all the info. This place is very helpful!

I can't imagine how long it took to make those wheels! Another great thread on the history. I am tempted to buy some of the old books now.

Re: Pictures of Gene Husting's Original RC10
What an amazing thread. It was great to get so much behind the scenes info on the RC10. How amazing must it have been to design and build this from scratch, then see it do so well in the world. Amazing! Thanks for sharing

One of my mates used to run the SWB, then the XL CAT. I remember he had a real pain trying to build and set it up correctly.

That is a very serious looking piece of kit. Very beautiful chassis. I would not fancy running it though! I'd be too scared of scratching it up.

Re: The BMX (and other bikes) thread
Cool thread. I love BMX and MTB! This is an old picture as some of the parts have now changed. But this will have to do for now. Imagine it with a different chainring (snowflake pattern) and a black stem... http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6172/6230431418_ca852c1d64_b.jpg Parts are a blend of old and n...

Re: Aluminum is back
I love aluminium chassis as they are so tough. You can crash a car with an alloy chassis and fix it very easily. With carbon, plastic or graphite they just snap. I also love the way you can buff out minor marks, or re-anodise alloy to make it look likenew again. I do not care about the weight. Metal...

I am amzed how many cars some of you have! You must have a larger house than me! I have been out of rc for years, but I will be putting my new project RC10 on display soon, in pride of place I hope. I'll see if I can get away with the lounge, but I may have to accept the bedroom

Hi guys, what a great site! This is my first post on here, so I may as well introduce myself first. I'm Paul from the UK. This is me sitting in a kids paddling pool, reading my girl Lili a story :) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8391/8549102392_32d1cd94ea_z.jpg I was into rc cars from 1985 to 1995. B...
