Re: New guy here...
I have quite a few sets of wheels/tires for the YZ-10. Anyone making adapters so I can run them on my MX-4? If not, I assume there's a market for them out there since I can't use them....?

And they're damn fast, especially on an indoor track. On a nicer ourdoor track, they rock and roll as well. I had one, I loved it.kink wrote:I have to say if I ever bought a second rc car it would be an old school Yokomo Dogfighter YZ-10. For me they are the coolest 4WD buggy ever made.

Re: New guy here...
I have three sets of wheels and plenty of tires to mount to them. I also have these spares I've been picking up. Most of them I've had for over a decade. I pat myself on the back for thinking ahead LOL. I alreadyy run the gold CVD's and gold Shock shafts on it, hopefully I don't break many. http://i...

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
That looks like a great car! Still have the vintage electrics too! Is that tekin esc the same masami used in the worlds? This esc also had a yokomo logo on it! I've fortunately got enough parts for another runner build and spares. But it is becoming difficult to find certain bits such as the main c...

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
Has anyone done a parts interchange yet for the MR4BC and MX-4, YZ's, etc..? It would be very handy for a chump like myself.

Re: Old school Yokomo and the newer kits....
Well, judging from what I have seen at the local level, there are a few fast 4wd mod buggys, but again that is alot of the driver speaking. The smoother the track, the more the Yokomo shines, regardless of model . I'll be indoors, clay type track, so I have high hopes and aspirations for my MX-4. Ho...

Re: Old school Yokomo and the newer kits....
I thought about that. I'm not convinced I want to go brushless on the motors, but batteries I might. I borrowed a couple and they're very tough to fit in the MX-4. It's not impossible, but very tough. I'm just going to run some zippy mods and good batteries and do what I can. There's nothing more hu...

Old school Yokomo and the newer kits....
Anyone here racing an older 'vintage' Yoke up against the newer 4wd buggys? I'm going to start racing 4wd mod again, curious how the Yokes are stacking up. I don't see there being a huge difference, driver is 90% of it. My local track is fairly tight, not a lot of long straights, or huge jumps. I'm ...

You're right. I remember now changing them over to the MX-4. I forgot that the shocks from the MX-4 weren't as nice. ![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

Re: New guy here...
I have no idea. That's the way I got it, so it must be upgraded to a "team" part.
I have a boat load of wheels and tires for it still.

New guy here...
Here's a few pics of my old World's Team car, and my MX-4. I shouldn't have sold the world's car I know, but I wasn't using it. It was wicked fast and quite competititve. Anyone else here fit a MX-4 body and pan to a YZ-10 chassis? I did LOL http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/Hotrodvw/RC%20Stuff/IM...

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
I'm going to start racing mine again after about a 13 yr hiadus. I dig this car. I had a YZ-10 World's Team car prior to this. i gotta dig up the pics of that one. Are you guys having a tough time finding parts now? http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/Hotrodvw/20130223_144817.jpg http://i8.photobuck...
