Re: cheap esc/motor combo recommendations.
thought I would comment on this. I see why the leapard systems are so cheap. they appear to be a 380 size motor but with the can at a 540 size. The heatsink is huge and pictures dont show it.

Re: Decided to learn CAD this weekend lol
I cant think of the name but there were these really simple guide books that they made us use in college that will run you through most of the 2D and 3D commands for autocad. I remember buying them used off amazon for a few dollars each and they worked as a wonderful walkthrough. Atleast you've got ...

Re: cheap esc/motor combo recommendations.
I was looking at that leopard system or those turnigy trackstars. This is going in a modded rustler that I'm converting to a scale version of a 1:1 truck. I sorta wanted to keep my normal rustler running after test fitting all this so I'm making a new car outside of the parts I've already got and a ...

Its been a while since I saw anybody ask.
im open to ebay or hobbyking. just looking for a cheap set to make a car usable.
id prefer to stay brushless, also minimal soldering work if possible. I can do it but its pretty crappy.

Re: What did you do to your car this weekend?
trying to convert my rustler vxl into a 200mm car. got a body being painted to match my 1:1 car and the rustler looks to be the best chassis to fit it.

Rebranded Servos?
So I'm looking at savox servos and I noticed that I'm seeing servos with the exact same part numbers as those from turnigy. there arent many exact matches but they are all close to each other through the whole line. Can anyone one say whats going on here? just an example: both have same part number, ...

Re: Is my modded gold tub too heavy with too much torque?
Id say to preserve your car better. drop your battery down to a 3S. Thats about the equivalent of running 2S on higher Kv motor. Id think dropping down to a 2S battery would just be too little voltage and your wont get enough top end speed. Your probably better off converting to a b4 topshaft setup ...

I'll get some from him next time im there. HP freak, what did you use for the adhesive? I think thats all im really...

Re: speed run tires
well my first attempt at belting failed I decided to see how another tire held up to high rpm and when it expanded, everything went towards the outside of the tire. im not sure whats going on in the tire but only the outer edge wanted to expand and now all the rubber is shifted to the outside and ho...

Re: speed run tires
since Im using foam, it didnt have the traction needed to pull the front end up. Since my dummy test with belting is on a pair of traxxas anacondas with some jc racing wheels, I might figure something out as those liked to traction roll over a lot. I am looking at making a crude wheelie bar with a p...

Re: speed run tires
lol, my bad on that, My funding for rc related stuff is low at moment until I get my refund in. so I'm trying an alternative for making the high speed. Also the 3/16 adapter is out of stock at moment so I'm waiting for it to reappear. I'm actually attempting to belt tires now. Not using tape though....

Re: cadillac rc10 upgrade
Finding a new stealth will be pretty hard. You can buy new but you would need to order all the individual pieces as a full kit isnt sold anymore it seems. Its probably just easy to buy one off ebay and rebuild. tower hobbies carries most parts for the transmission. you can get the TC3 differential r...

Re: Best platform for a custom RC build?
The closest thing regarding wheelbase ive seen is the 1/16 erevo at 7.9 inches. Its a lot wider than need be. I think touring car tires could narrow it up a good bit. The 1/16 slash is narrower than the erevo but at 8.1 inch wheel base. most 1/18 scale cars were around 6.5" wheelbase I'm not su...
