Re: YZ-870c ReRe?
Fingers crossed that the clutch and other core parts are backwards compatible. Wouldn't mind putting my unused yokomo slipper back in a bag.

Re: OPTIMA MID '87 WC Worlds Spec Ltd Ed.
This replica is basically just a glorified re-re. The parts which differentiate the prototype cars from Romsey ‘87 and the later production version have not been replicated. Therefore, it isn’t what I would call a replica at all. Rear wing set up, rear hinge pin support, gearbox lube hole etc…. if ...

RC Rally Racing - RC with cardio and footwork
Didn't realize there existed this type of RC racing. I know I would totally be the person to trip over all the course barriers.

Looks like the Optima Mid Rere has gear diffs and dogbones while the Worlds Optima has ball diffs, universals, and a bunch of Optima option partsFrankentruck wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 8:31 pm Does the ReRe Mid have ball diffs and universal swingshafts, or is that only in the special edition?

Re: TLR22 king pin questions
I´m searching for a long king pin for one of my projects and have seen the one for the TLR22 cars. Part # TLR234098 If someone have such car, could you please check the dimensions of those king pins? I´m interested in the length of the plain shaft including the thread, the overall length and the ov...

Re: Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE
I don't think I've made any component changes to the car since last posting, but I've run it a few times and eventually decided to do a rough setup for running at the upcoming burn. Doubt I'll have time to run it or anyone to run with, but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, I set the rear ride h...

Re: All the Lazers
I had tried a Kimbrough and the existing bearing holes didn't align with the screw holes. I ordered a random HPI spur gear, recently, as a hail mary, so we'll see. One of those instances I wish people posted part dimensions.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 11:32 am Any chance you could use a standard Kimbrough or Robinson spur gear?

Re: All the Lazers
Did kyosho make this gear in a size less than 100 teeth?
The side brace on the ZX-R Mk2 limits how far you can move the motor and so I can't get enough pinion in it.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
My cat fell ill, recently, and I had to put him down just a couple weeks shy of his 15th birthday. During the week we were waiting for test results I stayed home and took a lot of pictures. I snapped this one of him starting his daytime snooze out back and have it as my lock screen on my phone. Late...

Re: OPTIMA MID '87 WC Worlds Spec Ltd Ed.
Anyone know what that is in the centre of the chassis that the speedi feeds are soldered to. Never seen that before Best view is in the 7th pic The black lead? Some racers used to forgo connectors and just solder the leads directly to the battery, like many did/do to the motor. You can see the posi...

Re: OPTIMA MID '87 WC Worlds Spec Ltd Ed.
Those two screws at the front of the Upper Deck on Akira's Optima are interesting. The Rerelease kit has an M4 flathead hex screw with tapered washer, there. And maybe Akira's looks more substantial because I'm used to seeing a hex head instead of a slotted head.

Re: OPTIMA MID '87 WC Worlds Spec Ltd Ed.
If it's of interest to anyone, kyosho has the parts list, exploded view, and manual up on the support section of their website : http://kyosho.com/eng/support/instructionmanual/legendary/legendary_index.html I searched a few part numbers I think might be specific to this kit, but those don't appear ...
