Re: RC10T Wins 2016 Reedy Outdoor?
That's awesome. Thought I was watching an old vhs. About as stock as you can get while being competitive. I agree on the ball ends too. Very risky.

Aluminum Duratrax wheels.
I bought these for a future fox project. The fronts had common Tamiya bearings but there is no aluminum in between to seat the bearing. The bearings slip right threw. No wonder they were never used. I assume they take a flanged bearing but what size? A 4x11 flanged? The ID measures .430 inches or li...

Re: Do vintage factory painted chassis's have any stamp?
2 hours later. I'm going to try the carb cleaner tomorrow. I have inhailed enough fumes for the evening. After I got that far I wiped the chassis down I rinsed it in warm water. The paint became like a rubber and started peeling off. I only used a soft toothbrush and it left little spider scratches....

Re: Do vintage factory painted chassis's have any stamp?
Going a few more rounds. Yuck. There is an unannodized chasis under there somewhere. Been using Goof Off but at this rate it will be several hundred hours to get clean. Any suggestions?

Not sure what this is. Has a hotbodies servo, the engine has a N on it, and it has HPI tires. Has a 2 speed.

Re: Do vintage factory painted chassis's have any stamp?
Here's the deal. I got this chassis a couple years back. It had a mint yellow nose and lime green chassis. Well someone must of wanted it all green. They used probably a whole can of Rustolum in probably 2 coats. As soon as I thought about using chemicals the paint started peeling. What a shame. Any...

Re: K-TOWN-KITT's rebuild thread.
Thought I was finished and seen I forgot a few screws on the noseplate. I had to add a noseplate, rear bulkhead, rear springs, and body mounts. The tires and body are from another buggy I got in the same lot. I took it out and the buggy runs pretty good. No speed demon with the stock motor but ran a...

Re: K-TOWN-KITT's rebuild thread.
Most likly there are probably others here with bigger hords and its most probably nos. I have gotten the rear half disassembled and am cleaning the nylon. Pretty yellowed in spots but came real clean. I only use dishsoap, a hard toothbrush, and pipe cleaners to wash my parts. I usually use whatever ...
