Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - March 2023 ** - Winner - coxbros1

I loved Diamond Dave's RC10 white tub chassis

I loved Hugger19s RC10 hot trick conversion

I love what Frankentruck did with the RC10's front end.

But the super charged nitro red head working that polished pipe  Hands down in my book!!!

Kyosho V-One RRR - Not my RC10DS usual

WOW! I Totally forgot i had this model in my collection. The Kyosho V-One RRR. Its a beautiful high quality piece of race car technology. I cannot take credit for the build up to this point. I received this car as a trade many years ago for a never run Tamiya F201(carbon fiber chassis with all alumi...

Re: RC10GT #7075, MIP stuff and box art look

… I also deanodized and polished the stinger pipe because I didn’t care for the purple. Not sure if everyone is going to like it, but I sure do. 8) Just saw a stinger kit sell for almost 100 bucks on eBay  I always liked the purple anodizing but you cant deny the beauty of polished aluminum....

Re: AE Hinge pins

I agree with the Porsche needing have the engine mounted in the rear. That's why i wanted to slide a DS chassis uunder a Porsche body...for the rear engine handling characteristics. Now when i did the Pantera DS...i used a mid engine mounted chassis for mid engine characteristics. One day i'll take ...

Re: AE Hinge pins

That's a great tip from our resident DS master. Thanks! :D I'm building a Porsche 934 with rear motor and I really wanted to start with a DS but I didn't see an easy way to shorten the wheelbase to 230mm without hacking-up precious vintage AE parts so I decided to go the custom build route. Also, I...

Re: AE Hinge pins

This is a SC10 c-hub on my DS. All i did was take a 1/8" drill bit, attach it to a vice grip, and SLOWLY turned it through the hole. Afterwards i would push/pull the drill bit without turning through a few times to smooth it out. The hinge pin slid through easily without slop. https://live.stat...

Re: RC10 DS

Its awesome that you are looking to update a very very cool car, the RC10DS. Ive restored three electric DS cars with Castle Creation's Sidewinder 3 brushless motor/esc combo units and was totally happy with performance. The speed is adequate for me with using nickel metal battery stick but if you a...
