Re: Raider dogbone question
check out this old post on the drive shafts for rocky, raider http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=19856&hilit=kyosho+turbo+raider the shaft should be 62.5mm from dogbone pin to UV joint. The plastic ones are plastic in the middle but have metal dogbone ends. Must have been done to s...

Re: Kyosho Raider rebuild
Yeah thats the way to pop them out. I usually hit it with the side of a pliers. If you liver in between the the aluminum hex and wheel shaft mounting, you will be scratching and damaging the hex. I have a turbo raider myself, not driven it though, have customized it with metal linkages, carbon fiber...

Re: leisure 05 motors
Cool loking motors, good its got aluminum at least on one side, better heat dissipation but the back where the brushes are gets the most heated up, which they had aluminum backs as opposed to plastic ones. AND couldn't these motors have internal fans?? for better cooling!

Rotor switch between tamiya 11T & kyosho 22 x 1 mega motor
I have 2 tamiya super modified 11F motors that I got for free. They are both screamers and get warm within a few secs. I have not mounted them on any RC and tested performance. But as you must be knowing, these are 4 sec competition motors. I also got a kyosho 22 X1 MEGA motor that is literally new ...

Re: Kyosho Tomahawk.
I prefer the tomahawk than the scorpions, it came with the diff, a more sophisticated setup overall. Also had a lightened front bumper. Love what you have done with your tomahawk, I am thinking of getting the same alloys too for my beetle yet to be built. Love the Le Mans green motor. Does the tamyi...

Re: dogbone vs Univ joint vs CVD
I agree on plastics being better, but they have to be very beefed up to equal the strength of the metal ones. One thing with plastic I like is that they don't wear as much compared to metal, that is when plastic to plastic rubbing is occurring. The cups rather than the ball end of a dog bone wears m...

Re: Scorpion fibreglass project
Oh thanks Dennis, I was just curious about the shocks, cause even the seller did not know, but helped me as much as he could on identifying them. Wow, indeed I am new to the kyosho vintage rc lineup, I just recently got to know about AYKs and man these things are beautifully constructed. Love the ky...
